Singapore had many cultural exchanges taking place and cultural connections with the world.

There were broken stem cups and the Sri Lankan coins found at Fort Canning, we can infer that Singapore had many cultural exchanges taking place and probably exchanged ideas about traditions, clothing and with countries such as Sri Lanka and China. Broken stem cups originated from China and Sri Lankan coins originated from Sri Lanka.China may have influenced Singapore through the exchange of ideas about pottery and ceramics, allowing cultural exchanges to take place.Sri Lanka may have influenced Singapore about the coins and their type of currency, allowing cultural exchanges to occur.

Singapore's population was small before 1819 Singapore has always been a small fishing village before the British East India Company chose the island for a trading port in 1819.According to the map of singapore river, there is only a few house so it mean that Singapore's populationwas small that time and from the picture we also can conclude that in that time Temenggond is the richest as he have a bigger house compare to the other people

Siam protection for Temasek is very strong and immediate.
The fifth ruler of Singapura was a rebel prince from Palembang called Parameswara. He found Temasek a successful port although a vassal of the King of Siam. He killed the ruler, Tamagi, to take over the throne. He fled when the Siamese armies came to take revenge on Parameswara due to the death of Temasek's ruler. He fled northwards and eventually establised the new trading port of Melaka.

This shows how immediate and determined the Siamese were to kill the rebel prince which tells us that Siam was very protection of Temasek
