The topic for this week:

Adab in seeking knowledge

Al-quran as a the book of guidance

As we know, seeking knowledge is obligatory for every Muslim. Therefore, before pursuing knowledge, there are several etiquettes that must be instilled in a person.Firstly,we must intend it solely for the sake of Allah S.W.T. Do not seek knowledge merely to be held in high regard by others. Additionally, we must respect the teachers who educate us because without them, we would not get beneficial knowledge. Furthermore, patience is also necessary within oneself so that the process of seeking knowledge proceeds smoothly. Moreover, we must be humble with the knowledge we possess and not look down to others. We should share the knowledge that we have with others.

Al-Quran is a book revealed by Allah to humanity and serves as a guide for mankind. Therefore, as a muslim, we must follow what Allah S.W.T has mentioned in the Quran so that we can be an obedient Muslims at all times.

Suggestion to improve:

Maybe we can make an outdoor activities and any fun activities to have fun together so that our Usrah session will be more interesting.

The topics for this week:

     •The pillars of Islam(based on Jibril's Hadith)

     •The manners of seeking knowledge

So,there are four aspects in this hadith which are Islam,Iman,Ihsan and the signs of the resurrection day. This hadith teaches that we need to dress politely and neatly when we want to meet scholars. In addition, we must strengthen our relationship with Allah S.W.T because if a relationship is not strengthened it will be destroyed. Moreover, we must purify ourselves from major sins by repenting to God. Besides, there is a few knowledge that might be dangerous if we use it in wrong path. The first one is religious knowledge because if we wrong in islamic law,we will get a major sins and it will be affect to the islamic society.Furthermore, the black magic. It is because the black magic can lead to Shirk and death.

Nevertheless, this Hadith also tell us about the manners of seeking knowledge that we should not be shy to ask questions in seeking knowledge because being shy to ask can lead us to the wrong way. Moreover we mustbe humble with the knowledge that we have and we should sharing the knowledge with others.

Suggestion to improve:

Maybe we can make more fun and educate activities that can give usrah members advantages in usrah time.

The pillars of Iman:

Believe in Allah

Believe in Angels

Believe in the scriptures.

First of all, we must believe in Allah because this is one of the most important matters and it is a pillar of Islam. It refers to three concepts: Rububiyyah, which means we must affirm the oneness of Allah in terms of His divinity and that He is the Creator of everything. The second one is Uluhiyyah, where is when a person believes in Uluhiyyah, they are considered to believe in Rububiyyah. Lastly, Asma Wassifat means we must believe that Allah has His names and attributes.

Secondly, we must also believe in the angels. The purpose of Allah creating the angels is to carry out all the tasks assigned by Allah SWT in this world. Each angel has its own specific duties.

Thirdly,we must believe in the four books revealed by Allah SWT to the chosen prophets. These books serve as guidance for us. For example, the Quran is the greatest miracle of the Prophet Muhammad S.A.W, and there is no distortion within it.

suggestions to improve:

maybe before usrah session,we should start our usrah with any fun activity to uplift the spirit of each usrah member.

The next Pillars of Faith:

Believe in the messengers

Believe in the Day of Judgment

Believe in Qadha and Qadar.

So,we must believe in the Messengers. All the prophets conveyed the oneness of Allah to their respective communities. The role of the prophets is to answer our questions and guide humanity towards the right path. Allah appointed messengers among humans as examples for others because logically, people will emulate other humans. For example, the Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. has special qualities and great intercession. The Prophet Muhammad always expressed gratitude to Allah S.W.T and he constantly sought forgiveness from Allah SWT more than 70 times a day, even though he was already guaranteed in Heaven. In addition, the Prophet lived modestly and urged us not to be excessive in anything. Furthermore, the Prophet always remained humble and said, "No one who has even a speck of arrogance in their heart will enter Paradise". Moreover, the Prophet was also a responsible person who would blame himself whenever mistakes occurred.

The fifth pillars of Iman is we must believe in the Day of Judgement which We must believe that this world will come to an end, and when we are resurrected in the Hereafter, each of our records will be taken and evaluated by Allah SWT one by one. The importance of believing in the Day of Judgment includes instilling a sense of fear within us to avoid doing things prohibited by Allah, as we fear the punishment from Allah in the Hereafter.

The last one is we must believe in Qadha and Qadhar. For this contexts, we must believe in 4 things which are:

1)Knowledge

-We must believe that Allah SWT knows all things.

2)Written

-Everything has been written in the Luh Mahfuz.

3)Testament

-We must believe that Allah SWT has decreed everything for us.

4)Creation

-We must believe and be certain that Allah S.W.T is the Creator of everything.

So,the benefits of believing in Qadha and Qadar are we can accept what has happened and what will happen in our lives. Furthermore, it provides strength to follow the true path of Allah.

Suggestion to improve:

Maybe we should include some of historical stories about the prophets and the companions of the Prophets in each topics to make usrah session will be more fun.

Ehsan and Eschatology

Ehsan is the highest concept in faith and worship, which means to worship Allah as if we are seeing Him, even though we cannot see Him, and we are confident that Allah is always watching us. If we want to achieve Ehsan, we need to have the characteristics of a muhsin which are:

1) Giving goodness to others

2) Being sincere in doing good.

For example, from the story of Prophet Nuh A.S, we see his earnestness in conveying his message and spreading goodness to others. Additionally, from the story of Prophet Ibrahim A.S, we learn that he admonished his father to believe in Allah S.W.T and he was determined to destroy the idols. This demonstrates the characteristics of a muhsin found in both of these prophets of Allah.

Next,The meaning of eschatology is related to matters concerning the Day of Resurrection, the Day of Judgment, and life after this world. So,Ehsan is closely related to eschatology because a person who practices Ehsan will pay more attention to life after death, being constantly aware of Allah's surveillance and preparing for the Day of Judgment.

suggestions to improve

fun activities during the usrah can make usrah session more fun.

Salah is an obligation for every Muslim, reflecting the obedience of a servant to Allah S.W.T.

Secondly, we had discussed surah al-Baqarah (2:183) that explains about sawm (fasting). Fasting is refraining from eating, drinking, and other actions that can invalidate the fast. Its also can reducing or diminishing the power or ability of Satan to tempt, misguide, or lead a person towards sin or wrongdoing.

Thirdly, surah al-Tawbah (9:103) that explains about Zakah (Charity). Giving zakat is a way of fulfilling one’s religious duties, which brings spiritual rewards and increases the giver’s piety.

Last but not least , we have discussed surah al-Baqarah (2:197) that explains about Hajj (Pilgrimage).
