Jim  Gallien speaks these lines to show that he thinks that Christopher McCandless would return after he drops him at the Stampede Trail and warns him of entering the wild alone. Gatsby indicates that Daisy is a gold digger and that she is married to Tom only because of his social status, money and popularity. Nick Carraway is one of the main characters and the narrator of the novel “The Great Gatsby”. Nick is an accepting , helpful, and kind character. Nick comes from a high class family like Daisy. Now he is a high middle class. Nick had the opportunities to grow up in luxury and have many advantages in life.  The following quote shows that although Nick has grown up in a luxurious lifestyle he does not look down to others and is aware that eveyone does not live like him ; “ In my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that I've  been turning over in my mind ever since. "Whenever you feel like criticizing any one,"  he told me, "just remember that all the people in this world haven't had the  advantages that you've had." This quote is especially relevant and important because the other characters Tom and Daisy  does not carry the same understanding and humble attitude that Nick carries. which makes them look snobbish and selfish. with this quote the reader can see the difference between these characters.

This quote states the significant difference in upbringing in Pakistan in terms of gender. Malala was directly influenced by the expectations of society regarding her role as a woman. This simple quote signifies the core of many conflicts in the region, from gender-based assaults to the tendency of using firearms. Considering the chaotic past of the region it is only predictable that such a culture would develop.
