Though, we usually don't do anything about the immorality or misbehavior of the people around us. The quote somehow is related to my life because every so often I had done similar gestures towards other individuals. Before I had seen someone who had done dreadful actions towards someone else , though I had never said or did anything about it. This quote relates to the situation given in the Hunger Games, one of the situation is, when the people in the districts recognize that the Hunger Games was a murderous tradition, yet they haven't done anything about it. They were living in a dangerous world where they are being punished, being treated unfairly, and children being included in destructive practices. Though no one had stopped it and continued to watch these dreadful actions as if it was a humane thing to do.

This quote means that often, people put themselves in negative situations. But they never truly realize that they are stronger, smarter and much more intelligent than they seem. Once people surround their thoughts with negativity, they cannot see the positive things in life. When Prim died, Katniss felt very sad and lonely, but as time went on she found her strength and remembered that she is a strong individual that will fight for anything that right. Katniss has lost many things she has valued and loved throughout the Hunger Games, but she never let the negativity get to her in any way.

This quote means that people must be able to handle the situation that they are in regardless if its good or bad. People should accept that life is full of ups and downs. In Hunger Games, Katniss experienced ups and downs in her life for example she experienced injustice of inequality of the capitol, the people in the capitol live a very good life while the people in the district where Katniss is with them starve to death  where they had nothing to eat.But all that bad things that they are facing, they still manage to overcome it as long as their families are not in danger and in a safe place.

I think it means that us humans are the reason that the world is a dangerous place. Not because of the things we do but the things we don't do. Taking our time to do good thing stuff can't take always go our way and is sometimes time consuming, and or dangerous. I think that it relates to me cause sometimes I can see something bad I guess but I don't do anything about, but it does leave like a bad feeling inside me knowing that I should have done something but didn't. This makes me relate to Katniss,  because she didn't have to help Rue she could have killed her straight away but she decided to try her hardest to help her. As well as Thresh how he could have killed Katniss but didn't because she helped Rue.

I believe that this quote means that you never really know what a person is truly like until you sit down and get to know them, not about what's on them or the expression they wear on their face, those are all easily misjudged because not all people who look angry often are rude or aggressive, not all people who smile most of the time and help others in need are considered good, and not all small looking people are weak. Most people are surprised when they actually get to meet someone new in person and they get a different attitude than what they assumed, because they were thinking that they already knew them by what they saw on the outside. During Katniss' and Peeta's training, the other tributes would look at Peeta thinking they can crush him because he looked weak and couldn't keep himself up but the truth was he had incredible strength, that only Katniss knew about because she took the time to observe what Peeta was really good at and not making fun of him for what he showed on that one day of training.

This relates to me in a way because at times, i will see something and not do anything about it, which later then makes me realize that i could've probably done something in that situation. In the hunger games, Thresh stopped something bad from happening when he saved Katniss from being killed by clove even though he could've let her kill her. But he knew Katniss was  there for Rue so he helped her.

I feel this quote relates to me because I have been a witness to the cruel acts of others but did nothing and just watched. I have been in situations in where if I had said a word I would've helped another but still remained silent due to fear. This quote also relates to the Hunger games. There were countless times where people witnessed something but decided not to utter a word. An example is Katniss knowing that the Hunger Games is a murderous event but still not doing anything about due to the fear that the Capitol might hurt her close loved ones. There are many others who know what a terrible and unjust ceremony the games are but went on with it either way as they felt they were powerless and could not do anything.

Right now, many people are looking back at the past since we have been limited to do certain things because of COVID-19. What we need to realize that the past can help us become a better person, but if we continue to move on from the past we will be able to grow into for mature people and not make the same mistakes as before. This quote relates to The Hunger Games especially when Rue was killed by the District 1 boy. Katniss was devastated to see Rue's hopeless body lay in her arms. She knew that it was her time to go. After laying Rue's corpse with beautiful flowers and giving respect to District 11, she walked away without looking back. She knew that it was very painful for her to see such a sweet soul be gone at a young age, but Katniss knew that all the people back in District 11 would be happy to see Rue was rested peacefully. Yes, a young girl's life was brutally taken away, but Katniss was able to give a little happiness to District 11 and not dwell on Rue's death even though it was hard.

You may think that you have given up on everything or everything has given up on you but there is still hope somewhere. Sometimes I given up on a bunch of things but once i ind hope again I would accomplish what I have been wanting to accomplish sometimes the stuff i have given up on I don't usually go back to it but there will still be slight hope of me accomplishing it. In the hunger games many of the tributes have lost hope in ever surviving the games but the ones who chose to fight and still have hope to coming back home have put up a great fight especially Katniss and Peeta. The moment Katniss was in the games she lost hope for Peeta and herself, things were going down for her and she even thought that Peeta betrayed her but when Rue came she gave Katniss all the hope she needed to fight to the end.

There are people who belittle me because I am short and because of my height, they tell me I can’t play basketball or I am not good at it. I don’t let these negativities affect me because I only focus on the people that motivates me and the ones that makes me feel better. We only thrive when we focus on the things that make us a better person which will help us motivate others as well. When Rue died Katniss felt devastated and depressed but Rue was Katniss' main force of motivation to keep thriving and to succeed.

You shouldn’t doubt yourself and say “I don’t think I can reach it but I will try” if you have a dream job or a dream house or maybe even a dream girl, work for it and pull you heart and soul to achieve it then one day you will achieve it.If you say “i will try” that means youre not sure about what you wanna do.i can relate this to my life because coming into junior high, I was a shy kid, and i was very  scared to try out for any sports team.I decided that i was gonna “try” for volleyball and basketball, etc.I was very hesitant and did not have full faith in me, the very next day i had found out that i did no make the team, so for the following years i told myself that i was no longer gonna be hesitant and set my goals on making the team.
