         <title>I think we should look at some of the things that other STEAM schools do and use them as a model for success. Schools like Global Impact Academy (Fulton), BEST Academy, and Hollis Innovation Academy are doing some amazing things regarding STEAM. The teachers have bought into the vision and believe that integrating technology into their instruction is critical. Technology is used with fidelity and is made a priority.</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Teachers should be offered micro-credentials to further their professional knowledge. Microsoft, Google, IBM, Nearpod, Flipgrid, and EdPuzzle (and MORE!) are programs that offer micro-credentialing. They also offer badges! We should encourage our staff to seek PD that is relevant to their content area and offer digital badges for completion. These badges could earn them rewards. This strategy should also be used with scholars to challenge them to grow.<br><br></div>]]></description>

Here are some thoughts: 1) Give teachers time to observe or meet with connections teachers for ideas for PDs or classroom activities/lessons. 2) Let's develop a STEAM showcase where connections classes can demonstrate what students learned. 3) Connections teachers should lead a PD or have a session during preplanning so teachers can get better ideas on cool things they can implement in their classes.
