         <description><![CDATA[<div> The Apollo 11 mission accomplished the basic mission of the Apollo Program; that is, to land two men on the lunar surface and return them safely to earth. As a part of this first lunar landing, three basic experiment packages were deployed, lunar material samples were collected, and surface photographs were taken. Two of the experiments were a part of the early Apollo scientific experiment package which was developed for deployment on the lunar surface. The sequence of events and the flight plan of the Apollo ll mission are shown in table 3-I and figure 3-l, respectively </div>]]></description>
