Improvements in patient's quality of life is usually a priority for me. Strengthening has shown correlation to other functional improvements (standing up, stairs, maybe abit of balance) and symptoms, which may not include gait kinematics. Can joint angles really change with strengthening? Maybe minimally... only surgical interventions likely will change it more. While it may not directly improve walking gait parameters like walking speed, do consider other factors and goals of patients... does he/she really need to walk faster? If yes, (traffic light walking speed) I would prfioritize walking speed after strengthening and improving other physiological parameters and also if using walking aids can help.
