The most beneficial feature of Microsoft Reading Progress is the ability to both watch and listen to the students reading.

I think it allows a safe platform for students who struggle to practice and build competency without the fear of doing that in front of their peers. For many of us, learning a new skill is much more comfortable in "isolation" rather than with an audience.

The most beneficial I found was that ability to have students record their reading. That way as a teacher you can go back to see what kids need at your own time and not using instruction time to do this. It gives you more time to analyze your data. It also helps struggling readers so they can listen back to see what they need to work on which in the end will have students grow more.

K. Heirigs

I like that you can have students record a video or just audio for those uncomfortable being on video. Student may enjoy hearing themselves reading after they record, it may help students recognize the need for more inflection and fluency. I also love that you can track individual student data.
