Autumn Hike: My picture is featuring 2 people in an autumn forest. There are both wearing Halloween costumes, a holiday we are aware of in autumn, and surrounding them are pumpkins, a jack o' lantern, and a pile of fallen leaves. There is also some sneezeweed, a flower that blooms in fall. There is also monarch butterflies in the air, migrating for warmer weather. I have also included red, orange, and yellow, traditional autumn colors.

I was inspired by the patchwork quilts often taken out of storage during fall in American homes. The clashing of the prints and colors give a sort of depth do the piece, allowing to see where the scraps of fabric were placed atop one another. I like to think that all people are a patchwork of knowledge and experience, taking some from here and there, and in the process becoming undeniably unique.

This pastel piece represents the fun and whimsical life of autumn. From the colors to swirly flowers and mushrooms. My inspiration for this artwork was an abstract Dr.Seuss, and the movie Brave. I choose to use these two as my inspiration because they both give you happiness and a carefree idea.
