To make sure everything went smoothly, I started by researching where to go and what to do in Tokyo. I created an itinerary and budgeted carefully for transport, accommodation, food, and sightseeing. Immediately after I curated a plan, I booked my flight tickets and chose a comfortable Airbnb in an area with public transportation nearby and secured with guards in the vicinity. Finally, I also made a checklist of all the things I needed to bring, including clothes, travel documents, gadgets, money, safety gear, and even some backup food and water, just in case.

Planning this solo journey taught me valuable life skills like discipline, courage, and quick decision-making. It completely changed how I viewed independence and made me realize I’m capable of handling things on my own. This experience helped me grow, and I now encourage others to travel solo at least once in their life. It’s not just about the destination, t’s about discovering your own strength along the way.
