Self-Defeating Resistance: Actions that unintentionally perpetuate existing oppression and harm the individual or their community.

Reactionary Resistance: Actions that challenge authority without a critique of oppression or a social justice motivation.

Conformist Resistance: Actions that work within existing systems to address symptoms rather than root causes.

Transformational Resistance: Actions that work to disrupt and transform oppressive systems by addressing root causes to create social change.

It might be self defeating because it can harm the shelters and might cause individuals to not trust them. After researching what happens in some shelters it make me hold back from giving them clients.

Yeah we think our plan is transformational resistance because we're confronting the root of substance abuse and mental health which is trauma. We also think that talking about it to the youth and introducing a topic like trauma challenges the system as well as the youth, as these topics aren't normally talk about within schools or homes.

Yes our CARP action plan is transformational resistance because we are going to talk about how it relates to police brutality and how we can help out an organization that helps out people who have been affected by police brutality. And how it relates to the school-to-prison pipeline.

In order for it to be transformational I would advise shelters to be more open and honest about their policies in their shelters, what happened behind doors, and I would include additional resources in my pamphlet
