I chose to include the LIIITE model as one of my three resources this week because I do not want to forget a school librarian's role and possibilities (cutting edge vs. traditional). Codesigning, coteaching, and contributing through collaborative leadership are a few phrases that stood out to me in this infographic.

Librarians empower students to become skillful researchers and critical thinkers, are instructional partners who collaborate with other educators, etc. This is a great read to be reminded that a school librarian fulfills many roles and benefits the entire school community.

This is the second resource I am bookmarking this week, as this table outlines what differentiated instruction is not. So helpful! There are many misconceptions debunked and it offers good clarification for each statement. For example, it states that differentiation is not done all day everyday, but rather implemented when needed. It goes on to explain that whole-class instruction is valuable for students and necessary part of instruction.

I need specific examples like this to use, so I don't want to forget these in the future!

I chose to bookmark this article because the seven core principles noted in it can provide a common language and mindset to guide co-teachers near and far to create their own "antidote for creating dynamic learning environments." I love the way this is worded because every co-teaching partnership is a unique one. This article also states a required core principle and then provides a possible solution below for how teachers can implement it, which I especially love. For example, "equality" is one required core principle for co-teaching mentioned and the "how" is "Teachers can make sure that both of their names are listed together—in the room, on assignments, on notes that go home, etc. In addition, both teachers use the “we” and “our” language. Students know that there are two teachers in the room who are valued, knowledgeable, and excited to learn." This is both practical and helpful.

It makes total sense that if a student reads a news article that makes them wonder what it's like to be a scientist working in Antarctica, then they are going to become more curious about the topic and craft more inquisitive types of questions.
