Little One by Jo Weaver

Subliminally, the book, Little One, discusses the process of certain mammals, specifically bears, and their actions to prepare for the winter season. Although this book directly focuses on the love and care of one living organism to another, it also focuses on the cycle of hibernations for bears, the gathering of food, interactions with other living species, and a small introduction to the seasons. After reading through the book once, I read through it again to grasp a better understanding of the notions this book conveys.

Llama llama and the Bully Goat

This book explains everything in the title: there is a llama who is being bullied by a goat. In this book, llama llama encounters a bully at school who would rather joke at the expense of others suffering. One day the bully goat decides to intrude on llama llama's playtime with another friend. Instead of retaliating with force or malice actions, Llama llama does the appreciate thing to do is inform the teacher on the bully goats actions. In return, the bully goat is corrected on his bullying actions and is allowed to play with the students again. This book begins with the classic diagram of a plot structure by having a beginning, rising actions, climax, falling action, and an end of the story resolution, which I think is excellent.

Life is full of individuals who will judge you by your actions, looks, personality, point of view, and so much less, but when you find someone who loves you for you, and accepts the faults, flaws, and quirkiness, that is true friendship. The book, Friends Stick Together, is attempting to convey the notion that friends come in all shapes and sizes and also the notion that individuals or organism should not be judged based upon notions obtained from stereotypes.

After observing the beginning illustration of the book, I assumed the book was about a pig couple, but the book jacket reveals that this story is actually about how a father pig and his daughter piglet express their love for each other through daily activities. The father pigs and daughter piglet commit to activities that can be considered healthy in father daughter relationship.

This book uses everyday food items such as burgers, fries, sweet peas, corn and any other foods that belong to the different food groups. The book’s usage of actual food falling from the sky three times a day represents the notion of eating three well balanced meals a day. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs enhances the imagination of food in an attempt to get children to eat more options.

Anyone can own and pet and consider themselves a pet owner, but what constitutes the term “man's best friend?” Often I notice dogs that are in dire need for love and care, but unfortunately they do not receive the attention deserved. This is exemplified in the book Can I Be Your Dog? This book conveys the story of a dog named Arfy who is attempting to find his perfect match to be his owner. Arby comes across several different humans with different professions, but none are interested in becoming his owner until he meets a postal woman who actually initiates the conversation with Arby. After, the postal woman and Arby becomes the true definition of man’s best friend.
