Another action to support gender equality is to "Promote equal pay for the same positions at work and sharing household chores can help."(Romano G, 2018). And could improve in this area by helping society to know how gender inequality can be corrected on different people's point of view.

  • One reason is the hours of work are extended and are not equal between genders.
  • Also there is unpaid overtime to men because of the longer hours.
  • Women are almost always the householders in the home.
  • When women work flexibly it’s proven that they increase productivity in all the activities when men don’t do it as them.
  • A big difference between work flexibly in both genders is that flexible working led to income premiums for men but not for women.
  • Working from home tends to lead to a more traditional division of labour.
  • Different studies say that women tend to do three hours more childcare compared to women who do not work from home. 
  • Men who are home-workers end up doing more overtime hours.
  •  Our society still believes that women are responsible for house care and care.  
  • Our society thinks that men are responsible for the bread-winning.
  • Mothers are carrying very high levels of stress along with other mental health issues.
  • Studies say that when dad’s are involved in childcare and an equal division of housework leads to good outcomes for children, their relationship with dad, as well as improvements in the couple’s relationship.

    By talking to your kids about gender equality between sexes you’re setting them up to lead the way for a better future. Also you are giving them a bigger perspective that everyone is the same and have the same opportunities no matter your gender. 

    Share the care work to your kids and set an example no matter if it's a boy or a girl, “From cooking and cleaning, to fetching water and firewood or taking care of children and the elderly”(Anonymous, 2019). By doing this everyone will have time to go to school, or join full time paid work, or have enough time to rest.

Educating young people is the best way nowadays to promote womens’ rights.


    Let's change the mindset that things are for girls or boys, everything is for all, not for one or another just the same for everybody, starting with chores, and going to works and also sports.
