There is a new revolution out there ‘cause we are tired. I hope this song urges us all to continue to do the right thing and becomes a melodic beacon of hope" (Shirazee).

Credits:

Tired (Song)
Written by Shirazee
Mixed and Produced by Kizzo
Mastering by Kevin Grainger

Tired (Video)
Concept by Shirazee
Director: Modern Day Auteur
Assistant Director: TJ Ferrari
Creative Producer: Antoinette Isama
Creative Consultant: Thomas Lebale

This was one of my favorite photos that I took on my recent trip to Europe, I was walking from the other direction and I just had to stop and see what was on the other side of the canvas!

This festival is full of art, music and dance performances, and yummy food.

I think this art is authentic because you can see that there was some direction given, evident in the style, however, each piece is unique to each student and there is a lot of variety! Each beautiful in their own way and the students would probably be able to share their creative process and thinking behind their pieces!

I enjoy going to different cemeteries to see their unique beauty. I thought this tombstone was particularly beautiful because of the different shapes of the colored pieces (or stones?) that are placed on the cross. Visiting a cemetery allows you to see history and art, and how it changes, or stays the same, over time. I think this one is dated from 1869.

9. Interview 2-3 people about how they feel about art in their community.

Questions:
What do you think about art in your community?
Where do you see it?
Is it supported or promoted in schools?
What do you wish there was more of (related to art, in schools, life, etc.)?
What art are you interested in?
How do you express yourself through art?

Interviewee 1:
Neo-classical art is a good example of the art I enjoy and strive to create. The detail that can go into a painting amazes me. It's also helpful in creating realistic paintings (detail).
However, in my community I've witnessed the majority turning towards abstract art. Abstract art is special in its own way, however, it has diminished the importance of the time and hard work some artists spend.
Community people nowadays want everything fast, so most art dies in the endlessness of media.
However, I also see a lot of cool street art, specially in the city which targets social issues in a positive way.

Interviewee 2:
I think art that I see in my community is typically blended in with politics.
Walls, sidewalks... freeways, houses, online, friends
It might be supported but I'm not sure if it's promoted.

Interviewee 3:
Art in my community is often overseen.
I see it in everything I see- people express themselves in numerous ways that sometimes people aren't aware that it's art.
Not as much as it should be valued. Shouldn't be just an elective in my opinion.
More safe spaces for artists- and anybody who wants to explore their creativeness.
I love dance + music, but I do feel every form of dance is all beautiful + I try to express myself in all things I do.
It's a feeling. I allow myself to feel and really be who I am at that. I often feel inspired by nature, people, animals, etc. it can be anything.

Interviewee 5:
I think art is embraced in most communities I’ve lived in.

I think art at our particular school (ehs) was supported very well in my experience.

But there needs to be more veins of expression and more guidance.
Art could be music. Building things. Paint. Acting. And much more.
I’m not sure what curricula are taught these days.
But I think they need a complete overhaul to get with the times.

I’m literally interested in any vein of expression. I want to do it all. And it’s overwhelming… music especially.
My interest is bending out reality to the furthest extent. And producing things that haven’t been made yet.

I think my duty as an artist is to make things god or a creator hasn’t…
In my opinion if an artist isn’t doing something new… they’re just preserving someone else’s recipe.
Which is nice, but aside the point
And artist battle isn’t within the community. It’s within themselves….

If I was happy with anything I made. I would stop.
As someone viewing or purchasing or consuming a product. They could be pleased by my product.

But I’m am completely discontent…. Always. With anything I do. The biggest blessing are the biggest curses. And vice Versa.
With art I feel like there are many “me’s”
Attaching my persons physicality to all mediums of expression kinda fucks with me. Due to public opinion.
