Materials: White cardboard paper 8x11, cotton balls, markers, glue, glitter. 
Instructions: Children are to create their own spooky night with the materials provided, with this children are illustrating patterns in the natural world and among objects in the sky, all students will be rewarded with a treat at the end of the activity. 

Time: 10 minutes


Safety rules: Avoid contact with any material near the eyes or mouth.

Materials: Large clear jar, small jar, two small bottles, red and blue food coloring, jug, hot and cold water. 

Procedure: Fill the large jar with tap water, ensuring that the small jar fits inside the large. Submerge and invert the smaller jar and rest it on the bottom of the larger jar to act as a platform for the two small bottles. Fill one bottle with ice cold water and blue food coloring. The other fill it with hot water and red food coloring. Carefully submerge the bottles into the large jar and rest them on the smaller jar. The cold water will descend and the hot water will rise – depending on the volume of the large jar, this will continue for many minutes.

Materials: Pipecleaner, Eyes, Glue, popsicle

Procedure: create your own spider understanding the basic body parts and understanding that they all work together

Materials: Toothpicks, Small Marshmallows 

Procedure: Create the tallest tower using only toothpicks and marshmallows. 

Materials: Clear Cups, Water, Sand, Food Coloring

Procedure: Two cups with water one where food coloring will be dissolved, another where the sand will be attempted to be dissolved. 

Materials: Balloons, Nerds, Pop Rocks, Soda Bottles, Funnel

Procedure: Put some nerds and pop rocks into the ballon using the funnel. Next place the ballon on the soda bottle allowing the candy to pour into the bottle. Watch how the balloon expands. Chemical reaction between different substances.

6th grade volunteers to join as helpers throughout the stations and to set up the stations after school
