I also recently discovered that one of the musicians that I listen to has Tourette (Billie Eilish), which made me more curious about it. Through my research, I learned that the disability is much more common than what I had previously thought. I also learned that boys with the inherited gene are 3x more likely to display symptoms of Tourette's. Another interesting thing that I learned is that there is a wide variety of different tics that someone with Tourette's can experience, that aren't only vocal tics. Lastly, I learned that the basal ganglia is that part of the brain that is responsible for tics. I think that a lot of teenagers have a lot of misconceptions about Tourette Syndrome, which is why it is incredibly important to educate yourself to avoid accidentally offending someone.
