We analysed the video and the session presented by the teacher, we noticed that it was very unstructured. There was no organisation involved in the session, for example there was no warm-up or cool down there was just a main session.

We noticed that their was no discipline at the start when the students were climbing on the net. When the students picked the teams they made the teams unfair because they just picked there friends meaning the teams were uneven.

The students were cold, this is because the teachers didn’t assign them a warm-up to do before the main session.
The teacher wasn’t teaching because he just played the sport instead of mentoring the students and giving demonstration if they were unsure on something.

No respect was given to the students from the teacher because he just threw the ball at the student and he also raises his voice at them a lot. Instead of raising his voice he needs to motivate the students to do their best. The facilities didn’t go with the weather, it is a serious hazard if it’s muddy or raining to play sports out side and should be brought into a sports hall because a student could slip and potentially have a serious injury for example a broken bone.

Expectations of a PE session
A PE session should be well structured and planned out before the session takes place. In the video we can see that there is no structure or framework for the boys playing football. The session doesn’t meet the expectations of how a PE session should be.

A session that is well planned out should contain a good warm up to prevent any injuries especially in cold weather while they are outside a thorough warm up should be done to ensure all muscles are warm and this will reduce chance of any injury. Then the football game should take place after the big have warmed up. There should then be a cool down so that it prevents any delayed onset muscle soreness for the boys. The time should also be managed within the session so then you can fit all of these steps in.

The boys should also feel like they have learned something or progressed since the last time they played football. This could be by learning a new skill they can apply in their football games. In the Kes video we can see that the boys are just left to play and do there own thing, as there are no rules in the game or discipline for them.
