It was created to form a structure of government for the new country, America. There were several flaws with the government that was created, though. Each State had its own authority, leaving the central government weak. There was no executive branch to enforce the laws; no national court system to interpret laws. The weak central government had lead to little to no power over the states. America was lacking strength in economics and weren't able
to pay off their debts.
