So many people don't have enough money to pay for adequate medical care and insurance. To me, medical care is something no one should have to stress about. You shouldn't have to spend your time worrying about how to pay for the treatment you need. I also think that money should be invested into bettering our environmental impact. If we invested our money into different forms of clean energy and pollution control, we would be able to have a safer, cleaner world which in turn, would better our personal lives. Security  is important because to protect people you have to sometimes use violence (it should be they last resort of course). To protect people you have to set up a strong security system so that people won't want to opse it because they would risk losing to the people that run it (I am referring to both national security and security in your own home/work place).

Cheaply made toys, food products, etc, flood the market. Food labels need to be honest and easy to understand, to do this will cost a lot. But doing this could make good food harder to get and worse food more convenient. Toys need to be better made because they break so fast and are throne away.  But requiring toys to be better made might not be possible. The things I would like to change may be impossible or cost to much. Some families cannot afford to send their children to a safe school where they can guarantee their child will get a proper education.
We should also provide better health care for everyone. Medical treatments and medications are so expensive many people do not get the care they need to live a happy and healthy life. 
Next would be food. Safe and healthy food is often more expensive, meanwhile fast food is cheaper. People cannot afford healthy foods and end up buying a cheaper version of the product that is less likely to be healthy or safe.
I feel like we could also invest more in solor panels, electric cars, windpower, and hydropower to reduce the pollution and waste to over all make life happier and healthier for everyone.
Last would be living systems. Thousands of people loose their homes due to mental illnesses, not being able to work, and not being able to afford the home they need for themselves and families. There should be a sort of school where people who have lost their jobs can go to get a quick education in order get get a small job. For example, if someone wanted to become an engineer, he would want to mainly take/focus on Math and a small bit of Science, but sadly he is forced to take not only that, but History and English as well? In what situation within his career will he need to know History or English and in what situation will this knowledge actually progress him within his career?

Sadly, the American school system (especially in college) forces individuals to learn these "core subjects" despite the fact that an individual may not need them...

Now, I do realize that it is essential for a growing child, but is it still that essential to an individual who won't be needing them?

Again, this is only an example of what I think America should invest in, and this is from my point of view.
