Plaster cast of my shoulders/chest was the first attempt at creating the figure. The piece was too fragile and didn't come out correctly so we switched mediums.

Your sketchbook pages need to include more personal style. Play with fonts, placement, background, etc.

Don't forget to add in the ARTIST references you have researched. Then show how you might incorporate some of those ideas into your work.

Remember a sketchbook page can become a piece of your SI. Make them a work of art too!

You are on the right track now. Don't think of this as a maquette. For all intents and purposes this is SI #1. In your writing tell us what this piece represents. Ex- feeling of incompleteness, feeling of loss, emptiness, etc. Use these types of words to describe the work.
