Our schools current attendance statistics show 96.1% for this academic year up to 02.07.2026.

Please wait at the gate till a member of staff allows you into the school grounds.

Class 1 and Class 2

• Please use the main entrance door from the car park.

• Class 1 parents may take their children directly into the classroom and pick up from the classroom.

• Class 2 staff will be at the main entrance to collect children and hand over at the end of the day just wait on the main field .

Class 3 and Class 4

• Children should be dropped off at the little gate at the main gate/car park and walk around:

• Class 4 are the use the cloakroom door, at the rear of the school;

• Class 3 are to use the door from the quiet area.

• At the end of the day, staff will continue to bring children out and will escort them to the small gate by the main entrance for collection.

Taxi children just continue as normal.

Reminder:

From Monday 15th June, please ensure that all children have either:

• a pair of wellies kept in school, or

• a spare pair of shoes that they can change into when playing on the field.

Tuesdays - no club - staff meetings.

Wednesdays - Choir (Y3 to Y6) with Mrs Eva - pick up 4.15pm.

Thursdays - Cricket/Rounders with Mr Davis (Y3 to Y6) - pick up at 4.15pm.

Fridays - Cheer club (Y3 to Y6) with Lucy Monk. There will be a charge for this and more details will be out after summer holidays - pick up at 4.15pm.

While we are there, we will have opportunity to further build the links we started to develop in the summer during our visit from the Ankoma Dreamers. We will be teaching classes, sharing practice from the UK, as well as learning how education works in Ghana. We can’t wait to bring back all the things we learn to share with our children at Long Marton School.

Just a note to families to let you know that in the entrance to school we have started to develop a Wellbeing Wall. This wall is to support the school community in knowing how to look for support if it is needed for issues surrounding wellbeing and mental health. This is a working wall which we will endeavour to keep up to date with courses in the local area or any other information that we feel might be helpful for you or your family.

Over the coming weeks, Mrs. Eva (our mental health lead) will be introducing the children to 'five ways to wellbeing'. We will provide more information about this for families too.

If you have any concerns about your child or are finding things challenging yourself and need some guidance, please do not hesitate to contact school.

Wednesday 2nd - Children return. Please use the gate down the slope into the school yard for entry and pick up. Class 1 and 2 parents can take children to the classroom doors and staff will meet you. Classes 3 and 4 children to be dropped off at the gate and they will make their way to their classrooms (staff will meet you on the first day.)

Thursday 17th - Morland School Netball and Football tournament - 4pm to 6pm.

Monday 28th - Nasal Flu Vaccines - Reception to Year 6. Details will be sent out early September.

Full Governors meeting - 7pm in school.

These sessions will give children the chance to spend time with their new classmates and in some cases new teachers, explore their new classroom, and begin to feel comfortable and confident about the year ahead.

Friday 18th - Christingle at Long Marton Church @1.30pm. Break up for Christmas Holidays - 2.15pm. Collect children from Long Marton Church.
