She had vowed her virginity to Christ, but she got married anyways. Her husband converted to the Christian Faith and, in return, he converted his brother and respected her virginity.
His brother took up the labor of burying martyred christians against the laws, but they get caught and resulted in their martyrdom.
St.Cecilia's martyrdom wasn't simple. They tried several times.
At fisrt, they tried to suffocate her, but it didn't work. They also attempt to behead her three times but it failed.
She died because of three consecutive days bleeding, in wich she continued preaching.
