Jairo Emiliano.

After Little Red Riding Hood enters her grandmother's cottage, she notices something strange right away. The "grandmother" in the bed looks quite different, with big eyes, big ears, and very sharp teeth! But Little Red Riding Hood is clever and realizes that this isn't her grandmother at all—it's the wolf in disguise.

Instead of running, Little Red Riding Hood calmly steps back, and she cleverly strikes up a conversation with the wolf. She distracts him, asking about his unusual features, and the wolf, proud of his disguise, brags about how clever he thinks he is.

Meanwhile, a woodcutter nearby hears the chatter and decides to check in. He bursts through the door just in time, scaring the wolf away. Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother are safe, and they thank the woodcutter for his bravery.

The wolf never returns to the cottage, and Little Red Riding Hood learns to be extra cautious while exploring the woods, always looking out for potential dangers.

Once on a time the wolves sent an embassy to the sheep, desiring that there might be peace between them for the time to come. ´´Why´´ said they, ¨ should we be forever waging this deadly strife? Those wicked Dogs are the cause of all;

they are incessantly barking at us and provoking us. Send them away, and there will be no longer any obstacle to our eternal friendship and peace´´. The silly Sheep listened, the Dogs were dismissed, and the flock-thus deprived of their best protectors-became an easy prey to their treacherous enemy.

My reaction:

This story is very similar to life, what seems like a threat to us could mean our salvation. Dogs that bark will not always be the ones that represent danger to our lives, rather those that dress up as sheep but are wolves. Those who bark are not always the ones who could end your life or harm you; but those who attack silently. We must beware not of dogs but of those disguised as sheep who turn out to be wolves. It is important to reflect and not be ignorant, we must be wise and let ourselves be guided by those who drive away danger even with barking.

Sharp GPT

This fable illustrates the dangers of being naive and trusting the wrong parties without considering the consequences. The wolves' proposal seemed to promise peace and friendship, but it was actually a calculated move to remove the sheep's protectors and make the flock vulnerable. The sheep, eager for peace, were too quick to trust the wolves’ intentions and dismissed the very guardians that kept them safe.

The story serves as a cautionary tale about the importance of being cautious and critical when evaluating the motives of others, especially those who have a history of hostility. It underscores the value of wisdom, and the role of protection provided by allies, even if their presence may seem bothersome at times.
