He was the first child of 4 and the son of Arnold and Leah Spielberg. Steven was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. When Steven was 3, he moved to Camden New Jersey with his family. Steven has 3 younger sister named Anne, Sue, and Nancy. When Steven would make short films, he would lock his sisters in a room to get videos of them crying, trying to get out. At only 11 years old, he directed his first amateur film. Steven's dad's job lead the whole Spielberg family to moved to the suburbs of Phoenix, Arizona. Steven would like to read comic books, practice magic tricks, build model planes, and play with friends. When Seven was 16 years old, he won a statewide 40 minute film competition. School was not Steven's favorite. He wasn't the smartest person in his grade. When Steven was in high school, he became the sport reporter. After his senior year in high school, he attended California State College. This school wasn't his first choice because it didn't have the directing program Steven was looking for. His first choice was University of Southern California but it was to expensive. Stevens parents, Arnold and Leah were going through a rough time in there life and decided to get divorced. Soon after this happened, Leah got remarried. When he was in college, he made a short film with help from his dad. He begged Sidney Sheinberg ( a worker at Universal Studios) to watch the film he had made. She finally watched it and liked it a lot. Steven was offered a 7 year contract at Universal Studios and he would get a good pay. Another thing that was hard for him was that he got bullied in school. He got bullied because he was not only nerdy, but he was a jew. Kids in his school called him "Spielbug." Steven rarely won acting assignments because  he was very awkward on stage. In Steven's later years of high school, his parents were not happy in their marriage. Some movies Spielberg worked on were Night Gallery, E.T., The Sugar Land Express, Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Arch (with George Lucas), Indiana Jones, Jurassic world, Jurassic Park and many more. Steven married Amy Irving and they got divorced. Steven got remarried to Kate Capshaw. Steven's 7 kids are Max, Destry, Mikaela, Sasha, Theo, Sawyer, and Jessica. Steven Spielberg has been nominated for 18 Oscars so far and he has won 4 of the 18. The Oscars he has won were for Best Picture, Irving G. Steven is a risk taker because he would make ideas of what movie to make and he wouldn't care about others opinions. Another reason that Steven is a risk taker is that he dropped out of college even when his parents said he shouldn't. He risked the fact of his parents not being nice to him. Steven contributed a lot of movies to society.
