The roots of a plant move around in the soil by growth and when it finds it's food, it slows it's growth and absorbs the nutrients around the root.

"Many plants send some sort of an S.O.S. to alert other plants that danger is nearby".

Plants have a sense of competitivity, pushing and shoving nearby plants to try and get sunlight.
