How it works:
- water aid and its partners work with ideviguals and use a mixture of low cost technologies to deliver needed basic services.

Sustainable technology:
- technology used is low cost and easily maintained by the local people.
- communities consulted from beginning as it is bottom up aid.
- technologies made form local sourced materials and local people trained in skills to rapid it to provide long term benefits.
- this means that the work done is sustainable as commit unites can maintain and respire techno kites given to them.

The benefits:

Health - 4000 children die every day from water born disease but is preventable through proper sanitation and clean water supplies, project prevent disease by providing proper proper drainage pits next to wells to stop breaking places occurring.

Education - children normally spend hours a day helping parents so there is not time for school, also water illnesses prevented people form going to school. Now children can attend education as deseases are reduced and the water supply is relatively close.

Diet- without an adequate water supply there is often to a lot of water for crops or live stock. Increased supply's of fresh water from wells means communities can enhance their framing and livestock activities.

Household income - without water and sanitation communities get stuck in a cycle of poverty as illness prevent sick from working and thier careers form working as well and money spent on medical bill reduces the funding even more. Increase access or fresh water means less illnesses so people can work and improve thier income.

Benefits to women - as the Mao n collectors of water are normally women they now have more time as the water source is relatively close to home. This means that they can play an active role in the community and gain a stinger position and get more respect.
