The test said he's way more observant than intuitive and more turbulent than assertive, which is very true. He doesn't really stand up for himself at all in the book. The test is also correct in saying he is way more feeling than thinking, which is true, especially after he got jumped. "I had never been jumped, but I had seen Johnny after four Socs got hold of him, and it wasn't pretty. Johnny was scared of his own shadow after that. Johnny was sixteen then."(5). One example of this is when he kills Bob. He was trying to stop the Socs from hurting Ponyboy, but also was trying to save himself. Another example of this was how he carried the switchblade. He was always quiet and didn't like to talk, because he never liked to draw attention to himself after he got jumped. Ponyboy even points it out when they are talking about going to the movies. "'Me and Johnny'll come,' I said. I knew Johnny wouldn't open his mouth unless he was forced to. 'Okay, Darry?'" (13) Whenever he would do anything, he would always hesitate and make sure he wouldn't get hurt. Especially when he was around socs, or strangers, he was a nervous wreck, like when him and Ponyboy approached Cherry and Marcia at the movies. "Johnny was always nervous around strangers"(36). He basically is the "pet" of the gang. Pony even points it out while he's talking about Johnny. "He was the gang's pet, everyone's kid brother."(11). He risked his life by going into the church to save the children.

 Darry is the Know it all because he is always telling Ponyboy what to should be doing. like when he should go to bed, do his homework, and what activities he should go do.

Dally is the hotshot because he loves to get into fights and take risks. Some evidence from the text that he is the hotshot is, "So Dally, even though he could get into a good fight sometimes, had no specific thing to hate"(10). That is why we thought that the hotshot fit Dally the best.

Johnny is the tragic hero because he made the decision that killed him which was killing bob because it lead to all the events after that like the fire which actually killed Johnny.

Soda is the confidant because Ponyboy confides everything to Soda because he knows that Soda cares about what he thinks and says.

Bob is the town bully because he is always going around beating up the greasers. He almost kills people, just because he is a Soc. They are the ones that causes everything. if they didn't go to beat up Johnny the first time, he wouldn't have carried a switch blade. Then the Socs went to beat him and Pony up again, but then Bob got killed by Johnny. That made Johnny and Pony go into hiding. "We're poorer than the Socs and the middle class. I reckon we're wilder, too. Not like the Socs, who jump greasers and wreck houses and throw beer blasts for kicks, and get editorials in the paper for being a public disgrace one day and an asset to society the next." They'd never believe a greasy lookin' mug could be a hero.'" This shows that no one expects a greaser could be a hero. they are expected to rob places, and do all sorts of illegal things.
