My book is about stars and constellations and has deeper meaning into it. That can be interpreted in any way. The audience is mainly for teenagers and adults. The design works to show this as the image is very complex and in-depth. It is not basic like a kids book, but very complex and intricate. I learned how to use illustrator, indesign and photo shop better. I also learned how to use image trace and add a color palette to it. My biggest challenge was using indesign to make the texts as it was kind of tedious. I am proud of the color palette the most because I really like how aesthetic the colors are. The monochromatic blue looks very nice with the mountains and stars.

My book is about baking, and my ideal audience is bakers or people who want to start learning. The design work helps to show the texture of the macarons, showing a creation that was made. During this project, I learned how to extend my art by making it fully covered and creating the spine of the book. A challenging part that I found in this project was picking the color scheme. I am most proud of the details of the artwork.

My book is about fencing and its main audience is for people looking to get better at the sport. The design is supposed to be very straightforward and market itself as a fencing book due to the background of two people sparring. I personally learned how to use the right fonts for my title and my description of the book. My biggest challenge was finding ways to utilize enough space to look filled without being overbearing. I'm very proud of the final design because it looks very sleek and nice to look at. -thomas

My book is about family prayers. My audience are families that want to learn prayers or learn how to pray. My book cover shows this by exposing the viewer into a picture of a baby looking to the left which entices the reader to flip the book to see what the baby is looking at. On the back it shows a lady (most likely/easily represented as their Mother) with her hands together showing the baby the sign of prayer. The design also works very well with how I chose where to place my words. On the back, I placed the words basically outlining a part of the Mother's head. While working on this, I learned many things like how to flip text, choose what fonts fit best, and especially how to use Indesign. My biggest problem with this project was at the start; I didn't use a human photo of the real world. My first two attempts I chose drawn works of art. My proudest part is the back and the fonts. I feel really proud of my font choices with the added space I used on the back with such little space. -Justin

My book is about ANdrea Guzman and it talks about her jounry throughout soccer. It talsk about all of the advanteges and disatvantages she faced and how she manedge to imporve them. The audince the book is targeted too kids 7-10 that are trying to become and play at a high profetional level. The desighn works to show this image in a very diffrent way that is not to fancy. The way that it is not to fancy is that it is using certin color that brodcast the main image insted of regular colors that show everything. The color that stands out the most in the image is the neon blue witch is the main eye cather. What i learned from making this art work is that i learned how to create a cover from a book withc i nmever knew ho to do and now i know withc means ill be doinf it more often. My bigest challenge whiel making this was that it was hard makign all of the layers and picking out the colors becuase in my opinion i liked the images as it was and woudeltn change anything. WHat im most proud of is my effort that I put in desing it and since it was my frist tiem doign this i think it came out really good.

My book is about all the places that you can go anywhere in the Bay Area. The audience is intended for people who live in the Bay Area or will visit the Bay Area. 2. The design works to show this as it uses bright colors that show that give off an exciting feeling 3. I learned how to use many creative software including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign. 4. My biggest challenge is finding a way for the text to be easily viewable as the text font can be hard to see due to the background color. 5. My book is an autobiography about Kendrick Lamar’s life, from childhood to becoming a famous music artist. The audience is people who are into music and the fans of Kendrick Lamar. I learned how to make the book’s dimensions and to use different fonts to make my writing pop. I am proudest of my cover because I worked hard on it. This design works because the red and yellow show the hip-hop theme of Kendrick. I used the crown because Lamar wears crowns while he performs. I learned how to link pictures from Photoshop to Indesign. I also learned how to do special effects. My book is about my life as a student-athlete. My audience is soccer players, people interested in soccer, and other student-athletes. The design makes this very obvious by having a soccer ball be the focal point. While making this piece I learned how to operate many different Adobe apps. My biggest challenge was finding a font and color for the text that went well with everything else. My book is about the battle of reach in the Halo universe. It is directed toward fans of the Halo universe and its lore. The typography and colors were selected to catch the eye of anyone interested in military things because of the dark/cool color scheme. The typography was also meant to resemble a military-industrial aesthetic to convey the theme of the military. I learned to select a good color palette and use Adobe Indesign and Illustrator to do book covers and other designs. I believe my biggest challenge was to select a good source image that would match with the color scheme and after that, it all fell into place. I believe the part I am proudest about is the selection of the color scheme and the placement of the font to make it all fit together. -Sean Cook

My book is about the filbert steps. My audience is tourists, explorers, and just people who want to visit San Francisco in general. My design makes it very obvious by making a depiction picture of the Filbert steps as the main point of the cover. While making this particular piece I learned how to use different adobe apps together. My biggest challenge was finding the right color scheme to use with this piece. I am proudest of how well the color scheme turned out with the picture itself. It shows how natural and beautiful the filbert steps are.

1.)My book is about the life of a house cat who finds itself on the streets. The cat has a mission of finding a new home. My target audience for this book are cat owners and curious people.

2.) To show a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, I used calm colors to dominate the book like white and light blue. I didn't use too many dark colors either because I want my book to have a joyful appearance

3.) Making this book cover I learned how to use the shape tool more efficiently and used the tools flexibility to create my own designs

4.) My biggest challenge of this project was finding out how to use the Tools in adobe illustrator. Though I had to restart it multiple times, in the end I was able to have the correct settings.

5.) I am most proud of the way the entire book cover had turned out . I am also proud of my use of two new adobe applications

My book is about expressing your thoughts and not being afraid of speaking your mind. This book's audience is those who struggle with expressing their emotions—those who want to find their voice and be able to use it to tell about themselves. The air balloon in the front of the cover symbolizes a person's thoughts floating freely. The colors of the cover are meant to radiate comfort and warmth as they are warmer colors. The sunset is also supposed to be comforting and soothing as the image flows nicely. The lines are also softer and there are no harsh edges. When making this piece I learned all the aspects it takes to make a complete book cover. How the font matters and has to go with your book's theme. The colors also have to match everything and flow together. My biggest challenge when making this was figuring out which font would match the best with the theme I had already. I am most proud of the color scheme of the book cover. I think the colors go well with the art and the message the cover is trying to convey.
