1. What this looks like in practice; What are teachers doing when they’re meeting this standard?

   
   

2. A challenge that new teachers often face in this area.
   

A challenge is it takes time to work with the students a see what each one needs

This can be challenging when teachers are limited in cultural knowledge.

Challenge: Having time to give each student what they need to be successful in lessons.

The challenge is that we cannot assume that we know their background without talking to them (example, last names can be misleading).

Student councils where students meet every week and talk about what they need to work on as a class and how they can get there

A challenge is differentiating instruction because some students are well below their expected ability.

Teachers usually face a lack of time to prepare or create materials.

A challenge a new teacher may face that each learner has a different learning style therefore their assessments will differentiate.

They can use this feedback to achieve their goals (such as improving their writing skills) without putting the stress of wanting an initial high grade. It allows them to make mistakes and build upon their previous work.
