A regular activity in your class is a 10-minute class recitation before dismissal. Many students participate during this as they are able to clarify their understanding of the lesson. There is one student however that always misses his chance as he constantly excuses himself to go to the bathroom. He always returns when the teacher is already gone.

The student performs relatively well in his written activities. You opted to ask the other teachers who handle him about his performance and they replied similarly, that the child scores excellently in his exams but alarmingly lacks participation.

How would you approach this case using the discussed steps in teaching appropriate behavior? Only one member from each group can comment in the provided bubbles. Write 1-3 sentences only and include your group number before the answer.

Image Source: Faculty Focus | Bill Bergman
