To be better equipped with skills to operate machinery and technology to increase productivity at work.


In order to improve ourselves, its important to give everything a try and accept any opportunities coming your way.  We must be more open minded to accept any opportunities. This is when we can uncover new talents and skills that we would never have thought of having.

Through out your life, no matter whether you are old or young, learning occurs daily. Lifelong learning is also essential as the world is ever changing due to globalisation. One such example is SkillsFuture which is a government funded initiative to equip adults with skills that are not in their area of expertise. 
Say yes to opportunities. If you say yes to any opportunities, you can expose yourself to more knowledge beyond your horizon. For instances, electives provided in DBKF, namely, psychology, entrepreneurship and accounting etc. This electives provided is a way for students to open up to opportunities beyond their own skillset, in this case banking and finance. If students choose to take on this modules, it might prove to be useful in the future if they decide to switch their career to something else. we need to prepare our self for the future by developing our skills. We can make our self more marketable. We cannot rely on someone else as we have to be responsible for our own future.

Learn to learn
we need to continue to learn and upgrade our self with relevant skills and knowledge for the future as the future is less predictable. learning continuously will give us an edge in the workforce.

The future now is being less predictable, so by picking up a Core Skill- skill that we are good at we might help us along the way. 
Explore new things by trying new things will make people realize that they might already have the talent they already have. Able to challenge our own assumptions to realize what you are truly good at. By realizing what you are good at, you will be able to create more opportunities. This will guide you to a path that make you happy and successful.

It is important to become flexible and adaptive because times have change. 

Work now has less structure and predictability, you would not know what skills are valuable in 20 years time, thus we need to continue learning new skills.
