There are many different cuts of meat that we get from cows such as: steak, spare ribs shoulder joint etc. To get the most of these cuts of meat we would breed the biggest cow with the biggest bull. By doing this we can ensure that the offspring are also large and it means that there are more cuts of meat that we can get off of the offspring. By making the offspring large it means that there is a potentially higher yield of meat from these and therefore would not need to breed as many individuals in order to get the same amount of meat.

We as humans only breed pigs for their meat. This meat is commonly brought by people all over the world. To get the highest level of meat production per pig you would breed the largest Sow with the largest Boar. This ensures that the offspring are larger than they would normally be. This therefore means that there would be more meat per pig, this reduces the amount of breeding that needs to be done and it produces more meat per animal and therefore more money per pig

We also breed cows in order to harvest their milk. In order too breed a cow that has a high level of milk production you would need to breed the cow of the herd that has the highest milk production level with the largest bull. this increases the chances of breeding a cow with a high milk production but this is not guaranteed as ``the offspring that the cow gives birth to may be male
