I think it was important for me to read the tape diagram article, as it is an introduction for them and sometimes, I even get confused in the usage of them. Though I have used them specifically for word problems. But the Article showed me that it is very useful to use it to visualize algebraic problems as well. So, it made me realize the importance of the concrete models, in the curriculum.

I liked how it showed how the materials and what you do with them change from grade level to grade level
