A large influence in my art has always and forever be from Keith Haring. He has taught me to speak through my art, even though he has his own uniqueness it reminds me that I will always have a piece of my identity in my works. This piece drew inspiration from both amazing men and female artists: Mika, Janelle Monae, Portia Munson, and other powerful women who have taken part in my piece. I wanted to commemorate the women I love in honor of women's month as well as giving a perspective on abortion laws. In the end, I believe there is true power in female solidarity uniting all races, bodies, cultures, and religions. The Obanoth is an artist that really inspired me to pick up painting. Many of my hobbies are within the art world and people like The Obanoth continue to motivate me to make art.  I'm sure for many of us, art is an escape from the real world and for me that holds true.  Like a hug from my favorite painter, the comforts of a paint brush and canvas are like no other.

Let's just say she was wild. I became enamored with her abstract works even though working in abstraction tends to make me feel lost in chaos with no beginning and no end. The original sketch included a figure bending backwards in dance in the center, but as I painted in a mad haze of adrenaline and Lindor Chocolates, I couldn't bring myself to add the figure. Here I have painted Quetzalcoatl, the Aztec two headed serpent that represents the "symbol of rebirth because of its ability to shed its old skin and appear as a reborn snake. It may have been a representation of the earth and underworld with each head representing one.
