Because Frodo is going on an adventure to destroy a cursed ring. He faces danger and must overcome obstacles   In the myth of the ring of the Nibelungs, they also had an evil ring, but instead a hero named siegfried took it for himself.

Perseus is a hero and a descendant of zeus and how he was a hero who traveled to the island of the gorgon and slayed the Gorgon known as medusa  and used the severed head of the monster to save the life a princess who would be sacrificed to the kraken by turning the kraken into stone

I believe that this is a theistic myth because it describes how the sirens would draw people in, how they acted, and how it affected those around them. The poem describes the reaction of people as they hear the songs. It also includes animal and other creature interactions with humans and each other. AB

I believe that the line I chose from Romeo and Juliet is a Theistic Myth because they refer to Venus the Greek goddess of love and beauty. They refer to Venus because Paris is trying to make Juliet happy by marriage and that she could also fall in love with him. SA

I believe that this is a foundation myth  because  King Arthur must  release the sword  from the stone to begins his  quest for the Holy Grail.  The sword belongs to Sir Gawain and at the end of King Arthur's life, the Excalibur is returned to the Lady of the Lake and was never seen again.  JS

The Lay of Eric
The Lay of Eric alludes to the events of Ragnarok. They are theistic myths because the tale of Ragnarok accounts for the literal destruction of the gods in Norse mythology in a final battle which leaves the world in ruin. After the falls of Fimbulwinter and the breaking of Fenrir's chains, the world will be devoured and the gods will ride out to meet their fate. This event shows the relationships between the gods and mythical beasts of Norse myth. GCS 


Maze Runner
Because the kids who were abducted has to go through the maze to make it out of the glade(where they are held captive) and this portrays the greek myth of the minotaur and labyrinth. The labyrinth is the maze and the minotaur is the grievers in the maze

Apples of Hesperides
The poem, "Apples of Hesperides," references the theistic myth of Hesperides. It describes how the greek gods and goddesses were able to maintain their immortality: by eating golden apples provided by Hesperides. -CU
Narcissus
The poem Narcissus talks about Hades and Persephone. This author is relating Persephone being lured by Hades and getting hurt to her  own love life. Persephone was forced to stay with Hades for the winter and was damaged when she returned in the spring. -MA

I believe the line I chose from Macbeth is a Creation Myth because Hecate a Greek goddess of magic is telling the which to meet her. This reinforces the aspect of witchcraft as they have access to inhuman worlds. Creation myth explains origins of the universe and the components lie human beings. This allusion is explaining there access to inhuman worlds which relates relates to the meaning of creation myth which is the components of the universe and human beings.

I think that Odysseus is a Hero myth. I think this because we still believe so profoundly that we cannot see it for what it is. A Hero myth is a myth featuring the adventures of a human or demi-god. It is also a condition is a characteristic if the stage of religion.
