Some events that are happening in Honduras right now is helping out with the immigration. This is about how in 2021 as Vice President Kamala Harris started to tell America and Honduras that she was going to deal with the immigrants coming from South America because of how much the immigration was rising, she immediately dealt with this issue. A U.S. Senator said that she that this task was difficult and twisted. Kamala Harris had 7 million illegal migrants arrested, despite her efforts, causing Republican criticism due to an all-time high in illegal border crossings. Eventually Joe Biden our former President aske her to reduce the corruption, violence and poverty rates in Central America, in which she made another big change.

Many Hondurans have visited the Copan Ruins. The Copan Ruins is located in a city in Honduras called Copan Ruinas. It is known for its beautiful Mayan Ruins. Many Hondurans consider this to be the Paris of the Mayan world. The Mayan ruins are filled with magnificent stone pyramids and temples from conquistadors from the 19th century. This place is also where tourists visit in Honduras. If I were to to go to Honduras I would visit a place called Little French Key. This is a place in Honduras in the Bay islands.. They have so much to like scuba diving, food and many more.

Honduras music consists of a lot of old but new music. Some famous songs are: Morena by Beele, Yalifu by Aurello Martinez, Palito Verde by Marimba Usula Internacional, Por esa Negra by Guillermo Anderson, Miguirabana by Grupo Garifuna de Honduras. I have never heard of any these artists before but it is similar to some of the music my grandma listens to.

Traditional dances in Honduras are the Punta. The punta dance is a community dance for high spirts and happiness. It

traditional dances think of it. It allows musicians to interact with their music like their drums, guitars and trumpets. It is a ceremony for the dead and to send them to a better life in the after life.

The most popular sport played in Honduras is football which is soccer to us. They have taken part in the summer olympics eight times and in the winter olympics in 1992. The Men's Honduras National Football team is the representative team of Honduras. They have been nicknamed Los Catrachos, they played in a football tournament to celebrate the independnce of Central America which was the first national football match. Luis Palma is a famous player on the team. His position is a forward. Forwards in football are also known as strikers, and they basically are the outfielders. He has played for Honduras for about five years which to me is a really long time in my opinion.

My favorite parts of Honduras were how colorful their countrys culture was and how beautiful the places were. I would love to visit the Copan Ruins because it is a really cool part of history I would love to learn more about. When comparing my experiences in the United States and what I have researched of Honduras some of its similar and some of its different. In my opinion we have different economys like Honduras is somewhat an agricultural economy with important exports like palm oil, coffee, bananas, and a lot more. Whereas the United states being a highly diverse community, leading in manufacturing, technology, healthcare, finiance, and many others. Some similarities ae their popularity in footbal but to us soccer. Here the popularity is still sigificantly growing among our generation and along with other sports.
