My friends from Middle School

When I moved to Arkansas in 2017, I got the opportunity to be a teacher's helper in the special education classroom at my middle school. I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher, so I was extremely excited about this opportunity. I got to work with the students individually and observe how the classroom operated. The teacher allowed me to do mini lessons and help where I was needed. I grew close with the students in this classroom and still meet up with them every once in awhile to take them for dinner. Here is a picture of me with 2 of the girls from this class.

I graduated from Har-Ber High School in Springdale, Arkansas. I am currently a student at the University of Arkansas. I am working towards a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a Masters degree in Childhood Education. I enjoy spending my time in the library on campus studying, and completing assignments. I love how beautiful the campus is and getting the opportunity to be an on-campus student. Outside of class I am a waitress. I enjoy being with my family, friends, traveling, taking care of others, and spending time outdoors.

A Comfortable Classroom

After graduating from the University of Arkansas in 2028 with my degrees, I plan to become a teacher in the Northwest Arkansas area. I would like to teach 2nd or 3rd grade, but I would be happy anywhere. I plan to have a comfortable and cozy environment where my students feel happy, safe, and ready to learn. When I was in elementary school, I remember favoring the classrooms that were colorful and felt cozy. I believe that having a space like this creates a more fun environment and enhances the learning process. I am eager to meet my students and become a teacher!
