         <description><![CDATA[<p>Andrew Jackson a formal president during that time support the Tariff of 1828 along with the North but the south thought it was a terrible idea it would raise the price of there manufactured goods. This could event could have caused a major dispute between different countries because the country stopped people from buying stuff from someone elses country which could hurt the countries economy.</p>]]></description>

Calhoun wrote it anonymously and it claimed that it was a state right to declare a law unconstitutional or nullify it, it also threatened the unity of the U.S. but the Massachusetts senator argued against it by reflecting the divide between Northern and Southern states. If everyone just started declaring laws and nullifying laws and could upset states and it could lead to a Civil War.</p>]]></description>

This event led to John Calhoun to step down from Vice President and become South Carolinas Senator. Andrew Jackson also begged to pass a Force Bill to send troops to collect Tariff. This could have been a issue because other states and the government could have got mad at South Carolina and they could have all started attacking South Carolina.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The compromise of 1850 got passed and had five parts to it California interned as a free state. Slave trade was outlawed, land was conceded, pay taxes, strengthen fugitive slave act, and made it a crime for a free state to hold enslaved people. This could cause problems because people are smuggling slaves that should even have slaves in there state.</p>]]></description>
