The Huawei Watch D2 was released in September 19, 2024. It is the second generation of the Watch D. Its first generation was the Watch D that was released in China in December 2021 and became available in Western markets in late 2022. As its name conveys, it is a watch that approved in China and has also received a European medical device certification for 24-hour ambulatory BP monitoring (ABPM) and can also monitor ECG, heart rate, and blood oxygen. Its innovative inflatable strap allows it to track blood pressure.

It is a watch and stylish. There are two other products on the market Somnotouch-NIBP and the FDA approved the ViSi Mobile System, but both of them area finger-based devices, not a stylish watch.
Free from cuff discomfort. Many elderlies feel that the cuff pressure is uncomfortable.

I think the reason why only a few countries are adopting it because it is a new product. I believe that someday such technology will be accepted widely. Electric vehicles (EV) adoption was slow too at first, but it will pick it up later.
