During the Mediterranean World around 33 CE, the Roman Empire was the dominant ruler of Europe. They ruled for 500 years until the downfall of the Romans. However, it was only the high class would write and send off letters. Goods and People were transported by land and sea. Regional interior and exterior trade were very common in the Roman world. Some cultural and ethnic groups include Hebrews, Jews, Romans, Galileans, and Corinthians.

Saul of Tarsus put a significant impact on the church, bible, and the Christians. It was Paul who came up with the doctrine that would turn Christianity from a small sect of Judaism. Just one quick glance at the headlines of St. Paul would make you understand his significant impact. In the verse' Acts 21:37-22:21 we hear the story of Pauls conversion, he explains how he saw a bright light. When Paul made his first conversion, many people at first did not believe him and thought he was playing a trick on them. As we know he grew up as a strict Jew, so for Saul to become a Christian would have been a significant impact on him too.

In the late spring of 44 CE, Paul's first missionary journey began, his first mission was the first of three but a very significant impact in history. He traveled to a total of 19 countries where he went to preach Gods words. Paul's journey began when he traveled to Seleucia so that he could sail to Salamis, the primary city of Cyprus. While in Salamis he stood outside of a synagogue and preached the word of God (Acts 13:5). Then he went to Lystra, where he converted many. Unfortunately, Paul was found, stoned and left to die, his disciples gathered around him and continued to walk to Derbe. They then returned home, passing through all the cities they came from.

Paul’s scripture is implying selflessness, and how we should put people before ourselves. Christians and citizens are encouraged by Christ's presence and are comforted by his love. This epistle of Paul’s can remind anyone any age of benevolence. This epistle talks about Christ and how he will always be there for you and he will comfort you with his love.
