Hawaii is already nearly a self sustaining liberal republic with a democratically elected government so becoming indipendant from the U.S would be a matter of figuring out how to plug economic and financial holes that are filled by the federal government.

realistically Hawaiian values and philosophy i fluencing the population and culture would be the most feasible, as expelling all others leaves, unfortunatlely a small population. If Hawaii would become indipendant it should probably stay liberal and democratic rather than monarchical if it wants to remain a viable pacific economy"
