As he began to learn more, he became more intellectual and reading gave him a sense of extreme delight as he quoted in the book. He says how the books affected him dramatically and how he’s became a whole different being since he started reading and learning. Knowledge showed him right from wrong, and helped him learn from his mistakes. Knowledge also makes him want to learn more and be a better person, and helps him understand the fact that his appearance is whats frightening the fellow citizens. This although could affect him mentally and give him self doubt and hate toward himself, but i think knowledge makes him feel like he has a purpose in life and things get better

Ultimately throughout the reading knowledge is hurting the creature because his knowledge leads to failure and anger. In the novel the creature states “The possession of these treasures gave me extreme delight; I now continually studied and exercised my mind upon these histories.” From this quote we can gather that the creature has all of this knowledge about his surroundings and is discovering more and more by which he is becoming more comfortable with his new found life that he begins to talk to humans and act like the humans. This leads to his anger because when he interacts with the people around him he is shot down and attacked because he does not look like them. Therefore he becomes angry and reacts like a monster which ends in failure.

In Frankenstein, knowledge ultimately hurt the creature through having high expectations of what relationships are like and the idea of love. The creature took his knowledge that he learned and used it to develop his feelings, “As I read, however, I applied much personally to my own feelings and condition.” Through him reading about love and relationships, he discovered that he wanted something like this. This would be hard for him to find good relationships because of the way he looked. This was not the case, what he had learned about relationships ultimately hurt him in the end.

Knowledge ultimately hurts the creature in Frankenstein. Dangerous knowledge is a theme commonly seen in Frankenstein. We can see how the thirst of knowledge the creature has can bring him to places. It can eventually help him find what he is looking for. The knowledge may also take the creature places that are dangerous. The strive for such knowledge drives can be what drives the creature to his grave. It also brings others to the realization of what may happen if they don’t stop

Knowledge, ultimately hurt the creature. Although knowledge is seen as a positive aspect to have, in the creatures position it is not. The creature was created and abandoned by his creator. He was left by himself and had to learn how to survive on his own. As he gains knowledge he wants to become apart of society. He wants the opportunity to be able to interact with people, but is too afraid due to knowing his appearance isn’t acceptable in society, which hurts him intimately. In the book, the Creature finally decided to test if he could fit in with society by going over and talking to De Lacey. The creature wanted De Lacey to get to know him and accept him, because he believed it would be easier since De Lacey is blind, but to his surprise Felix and the others return and they react violently. “Felix darted forward, and with supernatural force tore me from his father, to whose knees I clung, in a transport of fury, he dashed me to the ground and struck me violently with a stick. But my heart sank within me as with bitter sickness, and I refrained. I saw him on the point of repeating his blow, when, overcome by pain and anguish, I quitted the cottage, and in the general tumult escaped unperceived to my hovel.” As a result, the creature is heart broken and full of anger. Which leads him to seek revenge. He goes out and kills as his revenge and this all ends up hurting him. If he lacked knowledge, he wouldn’t understand everything that is going on and wouldn’t have experience such an awful moment, that would lead to destruction.

Knowledge ultimately hurts the creature. In the story the creature learns to read and can finally decipher what the papers of Frankenstein’s diary, prior to the creature animation, are saying. The monster, after reading these papers says, “Hateful day when I received life!’ I exclaimed in agony. ‘Accursed creator! Why did you form a monster so hideous that even you turned from me in disgust?”Through this piece of text we can see that prior to the monster’s ability to read and understand feeling, he was, in his mind, okay. However, after observing the villagers, and reading other books such as “Plutarch’s Lives”, and “Paradise Lost”, he understands different emotions. Because the monster learned to read and understands new feelings, he becomes angry, hurt, and feels betrayed. He learns that his creator sees him as disgusting and he doesn’t feel as though he belongs anymore.

Getting knowledge inevitable hurt the creature throughout the story. In the passage , once the monster began to read and gain knowledge of his emotions, he then realized his anger and hatred toward Doctor Frankenstein and vowed to take his aggression out on the same species and the doctors in order to gain a sense of happiness within himself. If the monster wouldn’t have gain the knowledge he wouldn’t have gained an understanding of human emotions then he wouldn’t have had a reason to want to channel his anger to 🤬.

Knowledge evidently hurt Frankenstein. Him having his knowledge wasn’t put to use because people only looked at his appearance. On the outside, he was a monster. On the inside, all he did was hate his creation. Not being able to put use to his knowledge made him feel worthless. He just wanted to be like other humans around him but he wasn’t seen for his character.

Knowledge that the creature acquires ultimately hurts the creature as his curiosity about certain things lead to his demise (or at least his social). One of the popular themes in the book is how dangerous knowledge can be. In chapter 16 of Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, the creature states “Cursed, cursed creator! Why did I live? Why, in that instant, did I not extinguish the spark of existence which you had so wantonly bestowed? I know not; despair had not yet taken possession of me; my feelings were those of rage and revenge. I could with pleasure have destroyed the cottage and its inhabitants and have glutted myself with their shrieks and misery.”, the gist of the quote meaning that Frankenstein’s monster was created out of knowledge and curiosity and that after the creatures acquisition of knowledge, he grew more curious and wanted to explore and establish a relationship with the humans, knowledge seems to be the ultimate evil that ruin Frankenstein and his monster’s life.

Knowledge, ultimately, hurts the creature. The creature learns the knowledge that proves to be bad, he also has great extents to learn how to speak, and interact to people. The creature starts to learn human things and tries to fit in with people. For example when he learns to speak, discover his senses and more.
