         <description><![CDATA[<div>Question: How does how much sleep a student gets impact their memory during the day at school?<br><br>I would try to answer this by having people sleep different amounts and then have them preform the same tasks so that I can see how the amount of sleep they get impacts their memory. This could test their AUTOMATIC PROCESSING and their EFFORTFUL PROCESSING. Another thing I could do is have them try and memorize a list of items and see how they do with remembering. This could show the SERIAL POSITION EFFECT. Also, I could test their STATE DEPENDENT MEMORY by removing them from the room they were in when they were trying to remember the things I told them to.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Question: How long can a person remember something for?</p><p><br></p><p>I would have a couple people be shows a sequence of items on a list, and then I would try and get them to remember them. Some would be about their own lives and some would be about facts. This would show the difference between EPISODIC and SEMANTIC long term memory. I could also show them a princess and ask them to remember it, and that could test their PROCEDURAL long term memory. Then, I could ask them to try and remember the most emotional memory, testing to see if they have a FLASHBULB MEMORY.</p><p><br></p><p>&nbsp;</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>MEMORY, the ability to retain information over time, is a very important past of everyday life. There are many applications of memory in the real world, like through school and trying to remember things for tests. For example, when you are studying you can try and use RETRIEVAL CUES to help you remember. This could help with your overall RECALL and try and prevent FORGETTING. When do you remember something, it is called RECOGNITION. However, when you are trying to remember something and you can't, it could be through some sort of INTERFERENCE. It could be either PROACTIVE INTERFERENCE or it could be RETROACTIVE INTERFERENCE. When you can't remember something, you can try and use a PROBLEM SOLVING strategy to try and get that A on the test.</p>]]></description>
