Do the disadvantages of international tourism outweigh the advantages? I don’t think so. I think international tourism has more advantages than disadvantages, but sometimes has a negative impact on locals, tourists and the environment. That depends on the management and empowerment of the locals and tourists. 

Firstly, the advantages of international tourism. Tourism can help preserve national culture and the environment. The presence of many tourists will make the local community more concerned about the preservation of tourist objects, be it traditional arts and culture, amazing panorama, as well as buildings, historical relics and more. Tourists also help increase a country's income, because of exchanging foreign currencies and shopping while at tourist attractions. In addition, the most important thing is a person's mental health becomes better because they have done fun activities while on vacation. Secondly, the disadvantages of international tourism. The more tourists who come to a country or tourist spot, it will also have a negative impact on the environment. One of them is the increasing environmental and air pollution. In fact, many tourists violate the rules in an area or tourist spot. I think they do not do a search about regulations or may not care about the regulations laid down in the area.

By exploring the world, we can find out many extraordinary things that we did not know before. We can also get many benefits by doing this. There are also things that need to be considered when visiting an area or tourist spot for the first time, by complying with applicable regulations and maintaining environmental sustainability. Therefore, we must be polite and respect our fellow human beings and the environment.

For many countries tourism is a chief key of incomes, employment and activation of local entrepreneurships, which is a positive aspect of it. Unfortunately, a not-well-managed tourism enterprise could have relevant negative impacts and can be the source of other problems. Impacts in nature, cultural heritage, patrimonial goods, museums, etc., are examples of how tourism could affect and damage intangible and tangible heritage. How can we have a sustainable and responsible tourism enterprise and at the same not negatively impacting local economies? Do disadvantages outweigh advantages in international tourism? 

First, let’s state the obvious advantages of international tourism. National incomes, which a capital for developing countries; generation of employments in every level of touristic infrastructure and opportunities; included taxes for preservation of natural reserves and cultural heritage’s goods; cross-culturalism and cultural networks which enrich local cultures; creation and improvement of infrastructure, which collaterally implies development of certain towns, villages and cities; and promotional advantages as putting unknown places on the map. 

However, not all are advantages. The other side of tourism shows negative impacts on, for example, nature, damaging and altering natural life and landscapes. Overcrowded natural reserves, museums and heritage places can result in lose or detriment of biodiversity and patrimonial goods. The fact a place becomes a big tourist attraction can affect and modify local customs and traditions, and even history. Furthermore, not every tourist is a model of behaviour, some tourists only look for fun, diversion, sexual activities, and else, refusing to follow local etiquettes and customs, which finally alter completely the surroundings of a touristic spot. The over-flourishing of infrastructure like hotels, bars, restaurants, etc., could change the preserved beauty and attractiveness of patrimonial sites, and furthermore low-cost infrastructure could affect promotion in general. Finally, some places and people can become tourism-dependent, and bet all their activities only destined to tourism, however it will depend on tourist seasons; beyond them they could lack of other sources of incomes.

In conclusion, according to my viewpoint and experience of living in a touristic patrimonial city, a not well managed tourism enterprise could definitively alter the local environment and modify the customs and works of locals, issue that has happened in my city, where disadvantages outweigh advantages. The government is responsible to create and generate a sustainable and responsible tourism enterprise that benefits locals but at the same time preserve unconditionally the tangible and intangible heritage. 

The advantage that can be obtained is income from foreigners who come. For us, traveling in Indonesia is sometimes very expensive, but for foreigners it is a cheap thing to do in Indonesia. From this, the processors can charge expensive fees to foreigners to get big benefits for residents.

The lack of this tourism can be seen from the environment and the community around the tourism. There is often a lack of experience of the surrounding community towards the processing of the tourists, it can be seen from the poorly maintained environment, lack of facilities that can be used by tourists and other needs. Plus, tourists who sometimes find it difficult to follow local culture, one of which is following the beliefs of residents about these tourist attractions.

There are still many advantages and disadvantages that can occur with international tourism. But from the two problems above, for me, tourism can have many benefits for local residents, not only benefiting from the results of tourism, but local residents can also develop their city better than before and can increase tourist interest to come more, one of which we can see is Bali. From my point of view, Bali is a magnet to attract more tourists to see the natural beauty of Indonesia more .

Well, I suppose it's balanced, but If I should pick its more into 'advantages'. Because, it can help with the economic of the country; the profits made can make up a significant amount of private, local, and national income.

It can also provide a job for the local people, more tourist means that they need more staff working; either its hotel, restaurants, or transport. 

Also, it can promote cross-culture; It creates international ties, which can lead to greater long-term business and cultural cooperation. 

It also creates a free promotion, tourism allows the community to brag about itself and increase its international status.

So, there are the disadvantages from this, like; it affect the 'environmental' - tourism can often cause environmental damage with risks like erosion, pollution, loss of natural habitats, and forest fires. 

They can also cause culture clashes - lack respect for local traditions and culture, refuse to follow local dress standards, get drunk in public, or behave rudely or inappropriately towards locals.

But, I think not all tourist can cause that kind of stuff - it depends on the person itself. Even the local people can damage their own environmental. 

So, I think international tourism brought more advantages rather than disadvantages. 

By making an area a place for international tourism, it will cause several impacts or influences. Some of the losses that arise often come from foreign tourists who sometimes have a different culture from the local population. Where Indonesia is known for having a very strong traditional cultural wealth. I think the existence of international tourism sometimes affects the culture of the local population, for example this happens to teenagers. They usually follow the culture of visiting foreign tourists. For example, the way you dress. Indonesian teenagers tend to imitate the way of dressing (fashion) of foreign countries because they think it is good and contemporary. With so many foreign tourists visiting, teenagers will increasingly see and be attracted to what they use. Another disadvantage that can be obtained is that with international tourism, more and more local areas are establishing or providing bars or discotheques which are known together that drinking alcohol and clubs are not a good thing in some areas in Indonesia. However, with the presence of foreign tourists, they think that providing a place that tourists like will increase their income.
I think those are some of the disadvantages that can be obtained from international tourism.

The benefits that can be obtained are also very large. what else in the field of state income. As it is known that one of the country's largest sources of income is tourism. In addition, with international tourism, the local population's economy will increase. The existence of tourism also makes our country known to an international audience.

The world's massive industry is always the flawed side that brings harm to society. International tourism has also been affected. From an environmental standpoint, international tourism may, for whatever cause, degrade the environment. The international tourism sector requires a large number of structures, which may threaten the habitats of numerous animals and natural vegetation. It produces pollution everywhere because of the tremendous building development. The international tourism business can sometimes have a negative impact on a country's cultural assets. Tourism forces individuals to labor and provide services that are not necessarily directly related to the demands of guests. As a result, cultural values may be at risk.

People, on the other hand, believed that traveling overseas would benefit both visitors and destinations. From an economic standpoint, foreign tourism has numerous advantages because it provides various work opportunities for locals, such as becoming tour guides or starting a tourism-related business. International tourism, in the eyes of visitors, is a fantastic opportunity to obtain anything they need. Visitors may have a great time, learn about the destination's traditional culture, and spend their time participating in fun activities. The government would also have adequate budgets to maintain the environment and facilities because of the visitors' taxes.

In conclusion, despite the negative consequences of foreign tourism, I believe that this industry would benefit locals more. It will strengthen a country's economy and give work opportunities for people. In terms of the negative consequences, the government should establish a very clear regulation so that residents and visitors alike may follow the regulations.

Then, international tourism can promote the local cultures to the tourist, and it can promote cross-cultural awareness for both locals and tourists and builds bridges of understanding between cultures. So those are some of the advantages of international tourism and still many other advantages. 

Besides those advantages, international tourism still has disadvantages for the place of tourist attraction and the local people, and also can damage the environment. 

There are disadvantages of international tourism. With the large number of visitors who come to tourist places, it can disrupt the surrounding environment, such as traffic jams and air pollution, erosion, and a lot of garbage scattered around.

Next, international tourism can damage local culture, such as cultural clash. It will happen when tourists lack respect for local traditions and culture or behave rudely or inappropriately towards local residents. 

The last disadvantage that I want to mention is imbalanced funding. In tourist attractions, of course, a lot of money is spent to advance tourist areas so that many tourists will come, but for areas that do not have tourist attractions, I think the area is still quite behind from areas that have tourist attractions.

So “do the disadvantages of international tourism outweigh the advantages?”

I think if the government and management and the local community can together overcome some of these disadvantages, those disadvantages couldn’t outweigh the disadvantages. I think the advantages are still more influential than the disadvantages. With these shortcomings, I hope the government can be more strict with the provisions that apply to tourist attractions so that the environment, atmosphere, and beauty in tourist attractions can still be enjoyed in the long term.
