1) Yes, I've definitely noticed an improvement in my speaking skills, because I'm not a very confident speaker and often find myself stuttering, but those oral assignments help me overcome the stuttering, and it's beginning to make me a confident speaker.

2) When we do activities that involve speaking in front of small groups, like the one we did recently when we tried to convince each other to buy lunch, or fill up our water bottle, or go cinema.

3) doing public speaking in different enviroments or jiust in front of our clas will boost my confidence for speaking. Its important for me because ive always struggled with high pressure speaking situations, for example my aif check in, this affected my grade as it didnt seem like i knew the infomation because i was often stuttering and pausing because i was getting very nervous.

4) Maybe giving multimodal activities or just speaking activities in small groups so my confidence for speaking improves.

How well did I read the interviewer’s reactions and adjust my communication style in response?

I paid attention to my interviewer's body language, adjusted my tone and speed at which I spoke when needed, which helped keep the conversation going and avoid that awkward pause.

To what extent did I balance professionalism with authenticity in presenting myself? Did I successfully build a connection with the interviewer, and what choices contributed to (or prevented) that connection?

I balanced professionalism with honesty by showing my motivation and goals that I wanted to achieve at the job. I also made sure ot keep a friendly tone to deepen the connection between me and the interviewer.

Reflecting on your video and rewatching it, what did you notice throughout that you were unconscious of in the moment of recording? How did this influence your overall communication?

When rewatching, I noticed some nervous fidgeting and fast talking. I wasn’t aware of this during the interview, and it slightly reduced the calm, confident image I wanted to show about myself.

Did I demonstrate adaptability by responding thoughtfully to unexpected or challenging questions? How?

Yes, I was able to stay calm and take moments when needed to think before answering tricky questions. This showed adaptability and allowed me to give clear responses instead of rushing. I was alos to keep my cocntration when people behind the camera interupted me or tried to put me off

1) How effective were your interview questions in achieving your purpose?

My interview question were open-ended questions, so they focused on Cruz's personal experiences, which helped create an entertaining and engaging conversation

2)Did they allow the interviewee to respond in the desired way?

Yes, the question encouraged Cruz to share detailed thoughts, emotions, and moments from the game, which created entertaining responses that fit the relaxed podcast vibe of the interview

3)How did your verbal communication contribute to the overall tone and flow of the interview?

My relaxed, casual language and mix of humour and seriousness made the conversation flow naturally, keeping Cruz comfortable and helping maintain an entertaining and friendly tone.

4)Consider your tone, language, use of humour or seriousness, small talk, etc. What worked well, and what could you improve?

My relaxed, casual language and tone worked well to make Cruz feel more comfortable, which helped him open up. Something that I could improve on is creating smoother transitions between questions to make the conversation flow.

5)What role did non-verbal communication play during your interview?

My eye contact, hand gestures, and facial expressions showed interest, making Cruz feel more comfortable and supported while sharing his experiences.

6)Analyse how your body language, gestures, facial expressions, and eye contact influenced the mood, tone, or rapport with the interviewee. Did they align with your purpose and context?

My body language was open and relaxed, and my hand gestures were natural, which made the conversation feel normal and relaxed.

7)How would you refine your approach for future interviews?

I’d prepare better follow-up questions to deepen the conversation, and work on smoother transitions between topics to keep the flow natural and engaging throughout.

8)Name TWO adjustments that you would make to improve the use of language, question flow, tone, and/or non-verbal cues?

First, I’d improve transitions to make the interview sound more polished. Second, I’d use more varied facial expressions and gestures to match the energy of Cruz’s responses.
