I then placed my original image into a layer and opened my K image. I then selected marching ants and was able to transfer the K outline to my original image. I then used my brush tools on the combined layer and selected the layer mask box. I created a gradient color in another layer and adjusted its opacity. I then used the color white to extend my image and give it texture especially with the flower petals in the image. I used my ellipse tool to created the shadow under the K, went to ‘filter”, ‘blur’, then selected Gaussian blur to blue out the shadow. Using the quick selection tool, I was able to accurately cut out the cars and include them in the A’s layer mask over the original image. I added a shadow using motion and gaussian blur for the letter and a little to the left for the car. On the edges of the letter, I added an inner shadow to better give the feel of a race track and blend better with the background with the darken blend mode. I then added three adjustment layers to the image, curves, exposure and vibrance, to make the image pop more while keeping the saturation at acceptable levels. Lastly, to help the cars stand out more, I used to adjustment layers, color balance and brightness/contrast, to better help them pop out with them clipped to the cars. The image is from unsplash of a porsche 911 1970s with a martini racing logo. using the layer mask I was able to bring most of the car out. I used the gausen blur to add a shadow underneith the letter to add shape effect. Using the brush tool I cut out the headlight more to add pop and texture to the sourounding image. Then, I found a nice image of palm trees and placed it as the background for the “S”. Using the quick selection tool, I selected the “S” and brought the palm trees forward so that they only showed up on the letter. I then added a radial gradient containing the colors yellow, purple, and pink, so that it would be similar to my image. I used a sunset beach image from Unsplash.com and a series of palm tree and cloud brushes to blend the image and the letter. To blend the image and the A, I created a layer mask with the selection of the A to give the clipping mask effect and to allow me to use the brushes to reveal different parts of the image, which made it look like it was part of the A. I then used filters to enhance the colors and detail of the image and an ellipse to create a shadow effect under the A. I also added an emboss effect to the letter A to outline it and make it stand out to the viewer.

Going on unsplash I found a background with a sun and I wanted to incorporate that into my image with the C. After that I wanted to include Colorado into my image and letter because I was recently travelled there for spring break. I looked at gradients and thought that the blue and red would be the best for this. I had the stripe through the C to incorporate the Colorado. The texture I found again on unsplash and thought it would go nicely to fit the scene of the Colorado. Going through different fonts I found that a simple one that defines the shape of the C “Clark” or “Colorado”. The shadow I went back and forth between a black and grey shadow. I picked this font because the font fit the image well and the theme of sports transfers from the fishing to the jersey style font. I then made a layer mask with the letter and added in my image. I used the brush tool to reveal part of the fisherman, boat and fishing pole. I then added a background and a shadow, followed by some birds in the top right of the letter.
