In an international classroom, discussion are bound to arise that lead to close mindedness. It is my duty to inform students that judging someone based on their culture, gender, sexual orientation or appearance is unacceptable. Students stereotype which needs to be addressed and discussed how harmful it can be. Each group was assigned a genetic disease and had to counsel a pregnant woman (me) about the actions she needs to take. This lead to certain terms being used such as "your baby won't be normal" or "it will look weird". These are obviously very upsetting terms, especially to a pregnant mother like myself.
