The difference between luck and fate is that luck is that something is not meant to be or random. Fate means something that is meant to be or turned out in a particular way. If someone wins the lottery I think that it is pure luck. You can not pick a number because you know it is going to get drawn. You most likely would guess a number and might become lucky if that is the number that gets drawn out. A lottery is where you buy tickets before the drawing. If winning the lottery was fate they would technically draw a number and then you would buy that ticket which would make no sense. Sometimes, that's why I think wasting money on the lottery is not very smart. If you pay that money, you could get nothing back, but if you are lucky and pick the correct number, you could win a lot more money than you even spent to buy the ticket. In conclusion, I think that winning the lottery is luck.

What is the difference between luck and fate? There are many answers for this. For one, I don’t really believe fate can happen. But there are also ways to know they are different that are not opinionated. If someone were to win the lottery, I don’t think it would be fate, I think it would be just complete luck. I could always be fate though.

If I were to win the lottery, It would be a complete surprise to me. I would’ve never thought in a million years that I would ever win the lottery. There is about a 1 in 8 million person chance of winning. This is why it would be luck. If I really had no chance of winning because there’s so many people in it, it would be luck to win. The more people, the less chance you have to win. So many people try to win the lottery and really have no chance.

I think fate would be more like love if I thought it was actually real. Like I said before, there are many reasons for these being different, I just think this situation is more of a luck matter.

People who rely on good luck charms may start to rely on nothing but them for everything that happens in their lives. I’m not one to rely on charms because most of it is a myth and i have to see things to believe it. When you rely on a good luck charm you might start to get your hopes up about what will happen, and then when it doesn’t go your way you may become upset. A lucky horseshoe charm, ladybugs. Dice, rabbit foot, rainbow, bamboo, dreamcatchers, and evil eyes to ward off bad luck. My lucky charm would have to be Carissa, we literally always accidentally wear the same clothes, same test scores, and always thinking the same thing. Mostly because we’re with each other all the time, even on the weekends. The exact definition of a good luck charm is something that brings luck, and for me that is definitely Carissa.

If they are positive they might think in positive ways about things like a glass being half full and not half empty that they are real positive about themselves or others. Some negative things is like walking under a bridge, seeing a black cat walk in front of you, or some numbers can be some signs of negative charms.

Some other examples of good luck charms is that they can bring you some good things in your future or in the present.

Many people consider luck and fate to be the same thing. Fate and luck are two very different things. Fate is something unavoidable that happens to someone that can be good or bad. Luck is a good thing that happens by chance.

People can not rely on luck or charm when it comes to life problems. You can't just carry around a lucky horseshoe and not go to college and expect your life to turn out how you want it to. You also can't rely on a good luck charm to get a good grade on your test. Sure you can carry a good luck charm around while your taking the test, but you still have to study and do your part.

Some other good luck charms besides the four leaf clover is horseshoes, rocks, bottle caps, old coins, buttons, and any holy item with a cross, saint, ect.

My lucky charm would probably have to be my dad, he is literally the most luckiest person alive. Every time I am involved in a raffel I bring my dad. Every year my dad and I go to NRA day, which has a big raffel and I have won every year since I was in third grade!

Negative effects of someone using a luck charm to be lucky could be trying to do something that you are incapable of doing by thinking that the charm will actually help you with whatever task you are performing such as a stunt, or you could waste your money on lottery tickets thinking that you’ll win because of a lucky charm. An example of a good luck charm would be a four leaf clover. My lucky charm would probably just be my birth stone which is a pearl for the month of June because I think hat it is pretty cool and fits with the month.

So I’ve been asked to express the difference between luck and fate. And honestly, what isn’t a difference between luck and fate? I mean, they’re very different things, in so many different ways!

I’ll start with the way they fall. Let me express that this is by far the biggest difference between the two. Fate. Fate is what is destined to be. That’s why death and fate are two words that are very commonly used together. Fate is destiny and usually can not be changed. This is why some people don’t believe in fate. It’s because they do not believe in destiny. If you believe in destiny, you likely believe in fate for things like marriage and death. Now, luck falls in an entirely different way. Luck falls in a way that is not necessarily fate. Luck is not predestined. Luck will just give good fortune to you when something come in your path, predestined or not.

So maybe now you know the big difference between luck and fate. Next time you think something good happening is fate, maybe it’s not predestined fate! Maybe that’s luck!

Luck in my eyes isn’t really a thing but some people rely on good luck charms. Good luck charms don’t really give you luck but make you think that you have luck so you do better in whatever you are doing but they also could lose their hope and the charm “won’t work” and they will think that it is unlucky and bad when it is really just themselves letting them down. Some things that people think of as good luck are four leaf clovers, rainbows, pot of gold, horseshoe, ladybug, shooting star, and a wishbone. I do have a ‘lucky charm” but I wouldn’t consider it one. A few years ago before every basketball game I put my hair in french braids. That year was one of our best years because we won almost every game. The thing was, when I didn’t have my hair in braids, which was only once or twice, we lost those games. Now I don’t need french braids for good luck and we are just as good. Coincidence or not I still don’t believe in good luck charms.

Many of us have good luck charms. Some are weird. Some are not. But each luck charm is bad and good. Here is why. It is good because it gets you into your comfort zone. Let’s say you have a test. By rubbing that medal or chewing on your shirt will calm you during it. But a bad thing about it is if you do bad on that test, you will blame it on your luck charm, not you not studying enough or not paying attention in class. This could even lead to you getting rid of that comfort item. But I know I won’t! My good luck charm is chewing on my necklace. People think it is a bad habit but I do it thinking it will give me good luck. You will often find me on the Baseball field or before a test biting on my necklace. All in all, good luck charms could be helpful or harmful.

Luck is something that happens out of your control, and fate is something that was meant to happen, or to happen in a certain way. Fate can be God’s path for you, or everything planning out for where you are going to be next. The difference is one is under your control, and the other not. If someone were to win the lottery, I believe it could be both fate and luck. It could be fate if someone was struggling and did not have as much money to support them and their families, and God saw them struggling and wanted to help them. It would be different if it was luck. If it was luck, which is something that occurs more often than fate, no one could be in control of who won and who did not. It would be surprising for everyone because it is the luck of the draw.

Luck and fate are two different things to me honestly. Luck I think is more like something that accidentally happened. Luck also to me is like always going the right way. Fate on the other hand is more like it was meant to be the whole time. Someone winning the lottery, is more like fate to me. It was always meant for it to happen to that person. I think someone winning the lottery is all fate, meant to happen since birth. It could also be called lucky though, I mean I would still call it luck. It is almost just both really, because you could pick up the winning ticket on the street. I just say it is fate though. Lots of people say they have a lucky shirt or something right. That shows that every time they wear that shirt, something good happens to them. These examples show the differences in luck and fate, and how winning the lottery is fate.

Luck and fate. Some people may think they can mean the same thing. However, I think totally differently. Luck, is when something is not needed but wanted that happens to you by coincidence. Fate, is either when you have the chance to do something that you were made to do. Or, when you need something badly and somehow it ends up with you. For example, if someone who had, not a lot of money but enough to get needs and wants like my family, were to win the lottery, that would be sheer luck. However, if someone that was poor and hungry with no more money were to win the lottery, that is fate. I think this because when I think of fate I think of something meant to be, something that could save/change your life. Then, When I think of Luck, that is something that happened not because it needed to, but because of coincidence. In conclusion, even though fate and luck are thought to be the same, the are very different.

hat is the difference between luck and fate? Luck is a success or failure apparently brought by chance rather than through one’s actions. Fate on the other hand is the development of events beyond one’s control, regarded as determined or supernatural power. Fate and luck are both beyond one’s control but luck is by chance and fate is out of your control about your future. When I think of luck I think of a four leaf clover, it is in my own words when something comes along to boost your confidence or make you feel otherwise and than you so much better because of that lucky star or four leaf clover or even if somebody else showed up that means a lot to you. Fate is, again in my own words, is when something happens that you don’t have control over. When I think of fate I think of the future and what it will bring. If somebody won the lottery it could have been fate or luck, to me it depends how they got their. Do they sign up each year and this year they got it? That would be fate. Did they see a lucky star and wish on it last night? That would be luck.

Luck is something that you can’t control And you just so happened to have it done to you whereas Fate is like something is destined to Happen. Like Mary’s Fate was that she was going to be the Mother of Christ. Mary’s fate wasn’t luck God was not going around handing out those kinds of experiences. I think it could be both luck or fate to win the lottery, like so let’s say your friend bought two lottery tickets and he kept one and gave you one, and the one you have wins the lottery the person who gave you the lottery ticket would probably be mad because they had the tickets originality and their fate was to win the lottery but they gave the ticket away being generous and other person was plain lucky because they got the ticket for free and they won. But in that same scenario the person who won the lottery might have been having a bad day and it could have just been God saying I known you have been having a bad day so I will try to change you day by having your fate change. This shows the difference between luck and fate and how someone winning the lottery could be plain lucky or it could be there fate to win.

There are many differences between luck and fate. The difference to me is luck is when the odds of something are low and then it happens. That is why four leaf clovers are lucky, they are hard to find. Fate would be a cause and effect that is so perfect it seems somebody planned it at the beginning of time. One example would be if someone tripped and their future spouse caught him/her before they hit the floor. If you were to win the lottery that would be lucky, due to the chances being against you. If you won the lottery wasted all your money and ended up in jail and you actually learned a lesson, that may be fate. Some people believe that fate is real and luck isn’t. As Tina Belcher once said, “ It was always meant to happen. It’s called fate, and its great. That's an easy way to remember it.

The four-leaf clover is a symbol of luck and we the four- leaf clover around St. Patrick’s Day. I don’t think it is good for people to rely on the four-leaf clover because all it is is luck. Some negative things about it is that someone could get their hopes up and count on the four-leaf clover. If they don’t get what they want, then they would be mad. It is also not good to rely on because you can’t rely on luck. Instead, you should pray to St. Patrick and not rely on a silly symbol of luck. Some positive things about the four-leaf clover is that each leaf stands for faith, hope, love, and luck. I think faith is the most important leaf because praying to God can get you much further in life than luck can. An example of a good luck charm is maybe the people around you. My good luck charms are my family and friends.

Some of the positive things about having a good luck charm is that you could put your belief in something else than God, if you don’t want to go to Heaven. Some negative things, are that you will realize that you can’t rely on material things to help you in life. When you put all your hope in a good luck charm and you don’t get the good luck you will most likely be devastated that you have to pick new life choices. In our fourth grade religion book it said that you offend and sin against God if you rely on material things like fortune tellers, palm reader, and good luck charms.I remember that because we had a homework assignment on it, and I had basketball practise and it took me a long time to do it. Some other good luck charms are rabbits foot, horseshoes, and ladybugs. I don’t have any good luck charms, so I can’t really answer the last question.

There is a big difference between luck and fate. Luck is something good happens to you. Usually, it’s just a small thing, and it doesn’t help determine the rest of your life. An example of luck is if you find out you are going on a trip to another state; something exciting, but not life-changing. Fate is something important and life-changing that happens to you, whether it be either a good thing or a bad thing. For example, a good fate is finding someone you end up being friends with for the rest of your life. A bad fate is getting into a car crash, and ending up in the hospital for the rest of your life. If someone were to win the lottery, I would think it would have meant to happen. This is because winning the lottery can really change how you live, and it can make your life happy.

The four leafed clover.

Some positive factors of the four-leafed clover can be you get to go to Holiday World, your friend gets to hang out with you, or you get to go to a fun place like Elite Air. Some negative effects can be you don’t get to go to your friends because you have to go to a funeral, that is double bad luck. Good luck charms may be the four-leafed clover, a penny you found on the ground, or a 20 dollar bill you found on the ground. I love when that happens. Except if you are on the other side of that. My lucky charm is my grandma. She is Mrs. Young! She works here at St. John, and she does a lot of things for me to make me happy. I love her so much! I also have a stuffed dog that my dad gave to me after the play one night. It is very fluffy, and soft. It is my new lucky charm!

I think that some negative factors of those who rely completely on a lucky charm is they don’t have enough faith in God, because they have given up on him, and moved on to their “charm”. They should never give up on God. He will make his promise one way or another. They also, most likely, practice for the upcoming event, because they rely completely on their “charm”. Charms will most likely not have a spirit, unless your charm is a person, but still a person cannot use his spirit to make sure the odds in the event will be in your favor. God can do that, but he will most likely not do that, because that would be using his power in a wrong way. Some other examples are a rabbits foot, a lucky sock, or maybe even underwear. I have a couple lucky charms. I have a sock that I was wearing when I hit my first home run, and I have won many tournaments while wearing this sock, I also had a corn fly land on my hat at a baseball tournament, and I squished it on my hat, and it stayed there the whole tournament, and I won that tournament, with the last two outs, the last two BIG outs!

Luck is when you get an unexpected surprise that happens randomly. Some people say that you can control your luck by your everyday actions like deciding to take the bus to school or eating something different for lunch . Fate is sort of like luck, but you can’t control it. Fate is said to be determined by God. If someone were to win the lottery, I would say it was Luck. If he or she didn’t buy the ticket to win, he or she couldn't have won. If the lottery contestants were decided by just living in Newburgh, it would be fate to thank. Luck is better known than fate, but fate is just as useful when your in a bad mood. Back in Greek and Roman Mythology, Fate was often believed to be three goddesses. Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos. In the story, life was compared to a ball of yarn. When someone died, People would say that the goddesses would cut the yarn.

The difference between luck and fate is, if it is someone’s fate to be rich, that means their life was meant for them to be rich. If you are lucky the that means that it was not certain that it would happen or it wasn’t meant to, but it did. If you win the lottery it was not your fate because God did not make anyone just to win the lottery. I know this because God did not make money, we did. Another reason I know this is because lottery prizes are literally based on luck. There is no reason for lottery tickets except making money for the person who creates the ticket. Overall winning the lottery is not fate and the difference between fate and luck is, fate is what is meant to happen and luck is what happens.

One good thing about people relying on good luck charms is that they feel that they are going to have a great day and they are already cheerful. One negative thing about people believing in good luck charms is that they think they are going to have good luck but sometimes they don’t and they get let down and are sad because they didn’t have luck. If someone finds a penny heads up on the floor, horseshoes, finding a 7 spotted ladybugs, the number 7, close up of rabbit feet. Goldfish in an aquarium, a rainbow over a road or a field, lucky bamboo, dream catchers, evil eyes to ward off bad luck, and I could go on and on. My lucky charm is when I find a four-leaf clover, or I find a penny on heads. Those are my two lucky charms because those are the most common.
