A potential employer may not be expecting you to have done the job before, but they'll be looking for relevant experience or strengths. 

This is the same for interviews for qualifications or training. They'll be looking at your education, experience and interests.  

• UCAT Importance:

  The UCAT is a two-hour computer-based test that evaluates a candidate's cognitive abilities and professional behaviors relevant to dentistry. 

   

• Application Requirement:

  Most UK dental schools require all applicants to take the UCAT in the year of application. 

   

• Shortlisting:

  A UCAT score is used to help universities shortlist candidates for interviews, often alongside academic qualifications and other criteria. 

   

• University Specifics:

  While the UCAT is widely used, it's essential to check the specific entry requirements of each university you are applying to, as the weight given to the UCAT score can vary. 

   

• Other Factors:

  Besides the UCAT, universities also consider your A-levels (or equivalent), personal statement, work experience, and potentially an interview.

Today, we have 11 locations across the UK that offer Apprenticeships in different forms. This ranges from Y9 students (14 years old) to those switching their careers later in life – there is no one route in or upper age limit.

Degree apprenticeships take three to six years to complete, depending on the course level.

You’ll spend most of your time working and you’ll also study part-time at university. For example, you might go to university one or two days per week, or in short blocks, such as a week at a time. Overall, you spend about 20% of your time studying vs. 80% of your time working

Our degree apprenticeships cover many exciting disciplines including Aerospace Engineering, Management, Nuclear Engineering, Project Management, Software Engineering, Information & Technology, and Enterprise Architecture.

The second is a Maintenance Loan which helps with a student's living costs - rent, food, travel and other costs - this is based on household income.

The Odell Centre is a day activity centre for adults with mild-moderate learning disabilities and mental health issues.

The aim of a supported internship is to:

• To support young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities to transition from education into sustainable employment.

• To develop employability and personal skills relevant to the workplace.

• To provide an opportunity to show their value within the workplace.

• The desired outcome of the internship would be for the young person to gain
  paid employment.

The Learning Support Team will support you, whatever course you are on, working with your current Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
